Uni pay starts at $22.82/hr (level 2). I assume everyone's on AT LEAST level 2. I guess the pay isn't THAT awesome...but if you're working Sundays that's $40/hr.

There's nothing stopping you from handing it in on the last day you're at uni before the mid-sem break.

Atmosphere?? Thursday at the Ranch is very ordinary. A few american exchange students (less and less as the semester progresses), local North Ryde/Marsfield bogans and teens too lazy to actually dress up properly and go to Greenwood. Plus I remember having many a Thursday work drinks over group...

LOL. Sure is. It's actually only Darlinghurst Rd these days (they try so hard to get you to go in...especially if you're with a group of guys). The rest of the area is Potts Point/Rushcutters Bay/W'mooloo which is meant to be uber-chic.

I'd say 0.0001% roughly. Maybe if you're doing a program...and somehow your presence there will help set up a relationship with a big name American partner school the uni's been craving for...otherwise no.

Re: Textbooks: BUY Word of warning...don't buy the STAT170 textbook. I GUARANTEE you won't use it. The lecture notes are really good and the textbook will only confuse you..

That place is crazy! I was there, of all times, a week before Christmas - packed with people not only shopping but staying out of the cold.
