    Endless Loop on Hyperthreaded/Multi-core CPU?

Ahhh i just tried an equivalent. I see. I thought it must always lock up the system, probably due to the fact that the first endless loops i made were related to a program that was (continually) adding fields into a db being modified by vb6, which must be why the computer would crash each...

    Endless Loop on Hyperthreaded/Multi-core CPU?

An interesting question my friend posed the other day. If you create an endless loop on a hyperthreaded or multi-cored CPU (basically anything with more than one virtual core or processing stream [nb: the latter term may have just been made up]), will the computer still crash? My initial...

School able to prevent you from doing an option topic?

So is the converse true? As in, if they are aware that someone is doing an elective they do have to provide a section for it in the assessment task? I checked and the only assessment task that accounts for it is the trial. I'll definitely have brought it up before the class begins the elective...

School able to prevent you from doing an option topic?

Thats what I would have thought. The school writes its own exams though, so in previous years they've only included two of the five option topics. Are they breaking regulations?

School able to prevent you from doing an option topic?

Have a question that I thought it'd be best to ask here. Can the school prevent you from doing an option topic different to what is taught in class? (The only time where this will be tested, is in the Trial HSC exam.) and Is the school required to provide the trial hsc exam in the exact...

    Economic Growth + Development Annoyances

Sparcod, they are the same thing, just the first is broken down into smaller parts. GDP = total value of goods and services produced in one year So GDP = Consumption (domestic consumption of goods and services) + Govt spending (on domestic goods and services) + Investment (creation of...

    Economic Growth + Development Annoyances

Thanks Smart_dunce, though you pretty much just confirmed what I said. Still, kudos for embellishments. (Btw, I thought you went to Tech as well. Shouldn't you have both textbooks? P.S. Who are you) Btw I always thought that formula to work out real GDP was far more complicated than it need...

    Economic Growth + Development Annoyances

We've been given two textbooks from our school, was making some notes and just realised an anomaly with the two. The first - Leading Edge "Australia in the Global Economy" describes economic growth as a measure of change in real GNP per capita and economic development as the HDI. The...

    Induction help :(

I think I just got it, you guys will probably be able to tell me if so. Continuing from the last post .........................= 8N + 4k + 8 .........................= 8(N + 1 + k/2) Since k is an even integer, k/2 must also be an integer. Therefore (N + 1 + k/2) is an integer, and...

    Induction help :(

    I think that was just a typo. Yeah thats what's confusing me as well. I got Step 3: Prove true for n = k + 2 (k+2)^2 + 2(k+2) = k^2 + 4k + 4 + 2k + 4 .........................= k^2 + 2k + 4k + 8 ..........................................................(k^2) + 2k = 8N from assumption...

    Induction help :(

I'm stuck on these questions. Prove that 3^3n + 2^(n+2) is divisible by 5 for n>=1. Prove that 3^n + 7^n is divisible by 10 if n is an odd integer >=1 (Hint: In step 2, assume n = k (odd); In step 3, prove true for n = k+2) Prove that (n^2) + 2n is divisible by 8 if n is an even...

    your 2007 uni courses

Theres a lot more to commerce/finance than tax accounts and whatnot - actually thats a very small (and boring) part. It's a bit like saying you wouldn't want to be a doctor because you don't want to just be sticking needles in people.
