did anyone else here do the Trial written by Masumi Sorrell? It started with the question about Japanese women train drivers... (im not gona mention any more in case there are ppl here who havent done it yet! a lot of schools do this paper!!!) I couldnt believe how hard this listening...

caringbah selective high did your high school do Masumi Sorrell's continuers trial ?? bloody hell that was hard ... i only got 82% 3rd in class.. top was 88% .. im positive i topped our extension trial though btw we had to give our continuers trial back for 'security reasons' because so...

i didnt look at my examiner..... i looked at my sheet.. i wrote my notes in dot-point english and translated as i went.. i duno i can jst do that.. so it doesnt sound liike im reading it and no, its 20% of our HSC ( 10/50 marks )

one more thing... were your preparation room supervisors very strict with the time they gave you? I ended up getting about 17minutes preparation because the lady was trying to juggle about 5 kids at once ! hahahaha

and as for the question for #1 i left it out of my answer i couldnt read that kanji either. how the fuck can they put in kanji thats not even in the course? anyway for #2..i started out by rewording the question by going ( plain form ~ kadouka ni tsuite boku no iken wo iitai to omoimasu ) ---...

i did 1 and 2. .... they were practically both on technology ! for #1 i just talked about the effects of using internet, sms, email, mobiles etc etc etc and how this has reduced face to face relations ( NINGEN KANKEI ) and how this is an emerging problem facing society. question 2 was piss easy...

dude stuff like " ii desune " and " sou desuka " are just idioms.. said expressions... didnt your teacher use them in your school based speaking assessments to get u used to them? guess not

another thing which i liked about today was after all the rush rush of getting my name marked... i was #52 of the 9am session which meant i had about 30-40 minutes wait.. enough time to clear my head .. it was good howd u guys go ?

haha 'own pace' .. 10 minutes to prepare 2 x 2minute answers? eek hehe nah but im sweet... i prepare answers for extension practicaly everyday i jst hope the questions arent too stupid then again, when u think about it... almost ne question can be molded to what youve already prepared...
