You shouldn't drop maths because physics is needed for lots of university courses. Any university course that requires physics will also require at least 2u maths (i assume). But, nwatts, wouldn't that mean hes doing 14 units if he picked up EE2 and dropped nothing, not 12?

What? You get a certificate and photo. Not even a book voucher. Definitely not $2000, trust me. Although I've heard the top 200 students in australia get $2000. Maybe thats what they were talking about. (Ends up about 70 students from the HSC).

Just because you can bludge now within your school and get good marks doesn't necessarily mean the same will happen in the hsc. We had about 10 band sixes last year. Everyone had to work for it...

You can still fairly easily get a UAI of 90 with a decent band 4 in standard english as long as your other subjects are proficient. And at least you won't be struggling with a subject next year...

Was going to ask, how difficult is the maths in comp eng/comp sci? And is there a difference in amount/difficulty between the two? I'm doing ext1 maths, and I find 2U maths very easy, but 3U maths very hard (mainly due to my inept ability to understand any sort of difficult trigonometry)...
