    Fav. Teacher sayings?

Ah nearly everything in mathematics seems to be committed to memory with some sort of sexual connotation. "Mathematics is the sexual urge repressed" - Freud.

    Freedom of Choice

I see your point, in theory it is equal, but then if you look at the UAC releases, the top Advanced student will receive 100 scaled, while standard will receive 93 scaled. And then the dead average Advanced student receives 64 scaled, which is the same mark that a Standard student at the 90th...

    Ext maths hard???

Well obviously you don't have to study, but I wouldnt give that advice to people who aren't as good as you. Personally Im finding ext1 maths very hard, and 2u maths quite easy. It's mainly the trigonometry (everything else is less difficult). I failed my first ext1 exam with 48%, and then...

    Freedom of Choice

Ergo, shouldnt Trebla be able to assert his rights in choosing his subject, and the teacher powerless to stop him? Idealistic, yes, but possible.

    Fav. Teacher sayings?

Im sorry but they have nothing on this one (except maybe the guy above me with the functions one...I can't compete with that). Came back after the 2-week holidays to this. *cue indian accent* "I'm having fun today. I have not talked to another human being for two whole weeks." "So, you...

    Freedom of Choice

Advanced English and Standard English are definately not scaled the same! Thats just illogical. In 2004, the average scaled standard english mark was 36/100 while the average scaled advanced english mark was 61/100. Also, I thought that a teacher could strongly recommend you to not do a...

261 cheating students in the 2004 Extension 2 cohort caught out

Considering there would be some cheating students that haven't been caught, thats abhorrent! Only 2439 students even did EE2 last year, thats already about 11% of students. Particularly since, having paid a tutor to do this subject, the mark received would have probably been one of the higher...

    Pre-trial Seminars

My sister booked herself and I into the sydney uni one, and we were bored as hell after the 3 hours. Its good though because it forces you to revise especially if you lack the motivation (e.g. I). The last 30 minutes though we counted so many people sleeping. Literally asleep.

    making vcd's

In many cases, you can just burn the files to a cd, and they will open straight off on your dvd player. I try this first, and 95% of the time the files work. Otherwise I use TMPG encoder as anti-hyper said.
