    Thoughts on CSSA Trial

I thought it was frustratingly repetitive. I think it asked for "Data/Information", "Information Technology", "Participants" etc for like 3+ scenario extended responses. I know these things are bound to turn up in any IPT exam, but as I was doing this trial it just seemed to keep popping up...

    PIP Awards

Seeing as some PIPs receive awards from the Society & Culture Association, does this impact on the recipient's UAI in any way? My teacher was telling us once about how outstanding PIPs receive High Distinctions or prizes in specific subject areas e.g. Gender, Popular Culture, etc. Just like to...

    How competitive is year 12?

wow. that's great :) haha assassination jokes, had a few of those too. i guess you really know what your peers think of your intelligence level when they threaten to kill you! :p as for my school (about 140 in year 12 I think), I guess it's fairly competitive, especially in Advanced English...

    Coffs Harbour History Study Day

Just wondering if any of you are attending the Coffs Harbour History study day on Tuesday 31st June? It's held at the University and is supposed to be really good. I'm attending both of the World War One sessions, Leni Riefenstahl session and the Cold War session. Should be useful.

    Does anyone else suffer this?

I have a few friends that do Physics, Chemistry, Ext 2 Maths - all the stereotypically "smart" subjects - and they do have to remember a lot of information, not just a formula. There's so much to know in every subject. But I do agree with you that in those subjects, "often you are right or...

    Too much info for PIP!!!

Yeah, the rave scene is usually poorly done. A girl at my school did it a few years ago and her pip was about 4 pages long and it basically said, "Stereotypes are right, drugs are taken at raves." haha. But I think your sounds interesting and the idea of bias is a different approach, so should...

    Too much info for PIP!!!

YES! As I became increasingly immersed in my topic via research I have found SO MANY things I want to discuss and evaluate, but the word limit is so constraining. You're lucky you get 6000 words. I assumed it was the same for everyone, but at my school it's 5000 max. What's your topic?

    Fuck The Pip

I'm not, I love what I'm doing for my PIP. I admit it's hard to find the time to write it, but I keep thinking of so many things I'd love to investigate and discuss in it, and I really like my topic now especially after all this research. note: i am NOT insane.

    GoodLuck

Ah, another youngin' in Year 12. I turn 17 on the 26th of June. This is frustrating as my friends are having their 18ths. But I don't think being younger makes HSC any more difficult, like you said, we all have the ability to apply ourselves. Good luck to you too :)

    books or folders

Haha. The pointlessness of my reply to your pointless point encapsulates pointlessness. I will also pointlessly point out that 'pointful' is either not a word, or grammatically incorrect word, but let's not further this pointless discussion by pointlessly hunting down dictionaries. Yours in...

    subject selection regrets..

If I could go back in time I would have NEVER selected IPT. It's deceptive. It seems easy but there is just so much content + a major work, and I can't be effed learning about the different ways files are transmitted and stored. I don't know what I would have picked instead, though.

    Half-Yearly Reports

haha I agree. By the way what's with all the argument about universities? No one ever said Japanese universities are worse/better than Australian universities. So perhaps you (ie AZNBoy) should learn to read, not Sonya?

    Half-Yearly Reports

Well, got it. Not too bad. In absolutely no order; 99 95 96 82 96 84 And those are all raw marks, no scaling as of yet. So, am optimistic about end of year marks (for now). Share share share.

Survey for "Youth and politics" pip

A survey on the Australian political arena with no question on Gough Whitlam or his dismissal? Disgraceful.
