I'm pretty sure that statistic was formed from the results of all the Year 10s in the state who took the Maths exam, from public & private schools combined.

Haha, yer sorta the same with my English teacher, she hates me for some reason even though I work really hard in English. At our Speech Day, she presented me with my English award & she had this fixed, fake smile on.. You could tell we don't get along.. :P & with maths...97 is definitely top...

Hey Haecce, i got 95 in English too - how's that mark disappointing?? Did you expect higher or something? I was slightly disappointed initially coz my English assessment mark is 98. But now I'm happy with 95 for the exam. I mean, it's just the SC. HSC is way more important & I know I can do...

Lol it was. :) & on the topic of what an employer would find most important...I'm not sure..I think they'd take both the grades + bands into consideration. Coz some people can be really smart & get great marks in assignments & when it comes to exams they freak out & rush & get lower marks...

Congrats! I got Dux of my year too. But my year is only comprised of 18 students. Lol. So it wasn't hard... next year i'm going to a different school & they have 200 in year 11. Should be a challenge ..thank god :)

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you got told by your principal/teachers if you got in the top 5% or less of the state for an SC exam..? I got told that I was in the top 3% for English SC.. :) & my friend, who got 97 in Maths, got told she was in the top 2% for that exam. I'm assuming...

Not me...this was the hardest year of my life so far! Not coz the work was difficult [it definitely wasn't, in fact I'm looking forward to the challenge of Years 11 & 12] but because I was so sick for half the year that a lot of things were screwed up. Personally i'm glad i even SAT the SC...

Re: School Cert Grades That is amazing, congrats! No one in my entire grade got an A10 for Maths. The highest was A9, & only 1 person got that. Everyone else received Bs & Cs. How'd everyone else go with the grades?

I didn't get it either. I would have liked to though!

I got my results this morning, they are: English - 95 Computing Skills - 95 Geography - 94 History - 91 Science - 86 Maths - 73 Average of 89.0 :) I'm happy with these marks, considering I missed a whole term of this...

Congrats! Those are awesome results! Especially History & English :O I get mine tomorrow...Heaps scared bout Maths but looking forward to finding out all the others.

We used 2, depending on the topic - Connections & Signpost. Thankfully we used Connections a lot more, coz I agree, Signpost really sucks.
