It'd be a big call to pass up combined law UNSW or USyd for Macq (even with the scholarship Macq guarantee)...but I'm constantly surprised by how many there are every year. People who pass up UTS for Mac law are countless.

That is so in the realm of fantasy...you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one :) I can only speak from my own persepective...cos I've never taken classes at any other uni. I don't think anyone is seriously gonna rely on the reccomendations of one person and the PR sprouted from one...

Making friends at uni is different for everyone. But it's best to start early... Everyone who comes to orientation at Macq gets an awesome mentor (like myself..heh) and we help you guys make the transition. Club Mac's uni bar is waay better than USYD and UTS bars.

Pretty much all unis scale their marks. So you'll always get more students getting passes and credits than D's and HD's. Internal transfers into law at Usyd and UNSW are very hard (the unis tell u this themselves)...and for the few students who get into law, there are many many more who miss out.

Hey, E-business before Arts. E-bus allows u to do commerce subjects straight away. After 1 semester u can go for the transfer. (Current macq student's advice).

It's also rad for transfering to other Commerce-related degrees, as the UAI was much lower than Commerce (and you have access to lots of Commerce units).

Law students don't generally do masters or phd straight after the llb unless you are interested in academia. Honours is awarded based on merit (no extra study required). I did first year psych units at mac, and I really enjoyed them. My friend is loving this combined degree.
