    different law schools

Standard salary for solicitor in 2003 by a Law Society Study was between $70-80K a year. This is the total average, including those who are new and experienced, and in most areas of practice.

    different law schools

From the Opinion of the APS Journal of Psychology, UWS is the best psych uni in Australia. (Keep saying it but...) We have 20 Professors in Psych, Mac has none. UWS has the largest psych faculty in NSW, 2nd largest in Aus. UWS is the only Australian university in the APS top-ten unis in the...

    Which Campus

Yeah. Why do people do stuff like that. Crashers. I would like an explanation from them. I am assuming they have nothing to do, and have never met a UWS student (or see what they can do).

    Which Campus

Funny thing about where our campuses are. Parra campus is JUST in Parrmatta. Bankstown is Milperra. Blacktown is in Quackers Hill. CBD is for postgrad mainly, usually Law and Business research. Westmead is near Westmead Hospital and houses the NSW Police College. This is where extra...

    Gangs

I see legal studies has misled you. In practice, it's very uncommon if you say, a place is good to commit a crime. I mean I could say that myself as a criminology student based on my observations of an environment.

    Bag snatch in Lakemba

I am not hiding behind law. You are using words like 'murder' which are legal phrases. Australians who you say murdered iraqies, were actually 'murdering' the enemy who have also murdered millions of their own and Kurds in the most herendous attacks known to humanity. Wood is an innocent...

    Bag snatch in Lakemba

My policy was very fair. It understood that some cannot find work as easy, others come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. The system regulations would apply to all, so it is fair. What my proposal required was that a person who makes over a certain amount of money after they leave prison...

    Closed Court

Lucky you. Because if you get caught out, big trouble can occur. Judges have many powers to control their courtroom. In Camera proceedings generally are a result from children presenting evidence. I have been in a close court whilst I was doing work experience with the DPP.

wats the penalty 4 child porn

Good point, it makes some changes to the crimes act. Any type of Ammendment you will notice is very short, it usually just has a commencement and a section saying that its schedule is to be included in the original act. The schedule can say things like: "Replace "or" with "and" ".

    Hung Jury

I agree. Court decisions in criminal should be unanimous. But civil is a different story. Civil juries consider different issues.

A good way to study - Law&Soc/Human Rights

Is this a question? If we want to look at the law, we need to look at the rule of law. Mandatory sentencing applies to all who are convicted of a crime applicable to it. As for human rights, generally no domestic law exists going against mandatory sentencing - it's valid.

    Hung Jury

I mentioned judge-only trials. A disadvantage of a judge-only trial (take note for those drafting responses to jury advantage questions) are what are called "Frozen Defences". A lawyer cannot lie in court about the innocence of their client (even though movies show they do). A frozen...

    Hung Jury

Not sure, I hope it isn't. I have been in observations where there have been 3 mistrials because the facts of the case were sickening that jurors couldn't go on. The case still went on though. The relevant court Acts, e.g. the District Court Act have certain provisions about how many...

    Artificial Conception Act 1884 (NSW)

Indeed lol. Repealed acts have no effect on the law at the moment. Instead, the best thing to do is look at commentary of the old Act, a good place would be using google scholar perhaps or government reports on it. Also see if you can find what is referred to as the Explanatory Memorandum...
