In terms of number of paragraphs, cases, examples etc. For example I talked about the criminal trial process like adversary system, charge pleas negotiation, role of juries with different perspectives ranging from judges, dpp and victims 'vocal' in order to answer the question. I also used some...
Overall, I don't think the exams (i've done) were particularly hard, but i do believe that some questions have required 'thinking outside the box', especially with many essay type questions.
Who knows I could be biased just because its me experiencing the exams, but from what I've heard and...
Don't get me totally wrong I absolutely loved the essays and the short answer... Yes even the labour policy questions... But I really must say, those multiple choice questions were hard for me. I think I only got 13-14 omg... I feel better than my trial but I guess since many of you guys felt...
Hey Guys just want to know if any of you know the raw marks for band 6 in the following subjects in past years (2008,2009,2010 etc)
-Advanced English
-Eco
-Maths Ext
-Legal
and YES I know that raw marks differ to each cohort depending on the students' performance in the exam/its difficulty...
Hey guys, just our of curiousty, I want to know the raw marks for a band 6 in English Adv for past years (2008/2009/2010 etc). lol
and YES I do realise raw marks change every year due to how each cohort found the exam/its difficulty etc. This is purely for my curiousity
thanks! :)
I certianly 'try' to hahaha, but i can bet you guys are better than me.
Out of curiousity are there other people out there who tend to write certain sentences they think don't make 100% sense or are grammatically flawed but think "wth" and continue writing?
(in exams)
Hey guys I'm just wondering, will you be marked harder if you use a thesis in an essay that is similar to a past question in the hsc in order to answer the question given? Like what if you really answered the question but proved it through your thesis which was coincidentally the year's before...
So I do realise that when you do the hsc course for math, 30% of the exam can be tested on prelim outcomes...
I was wondering if a personal will 'struggle' if they don't really perform well in prelim. Like is it 100% essential that you achieve well in the prelim so you can do the hsc subject...
If I did my hsc maths in 2010, and keep my score, will my mark for the calculation of my atar be compared to 2010's cohort or 2011's cohort (this year). Im not sure if this makes sense :S
try to answer anyway :)
Say for example everybody performed low in a certain hsc subject examination due to a hard exam.
Like, the highest scores in the whole state were band 5. Will the highest person in the state (say who got 89), still be rewarded in relation to rank? Will it affect the atar just because its low?
During 2001 the syllabii for many subjects changed. In Legal studies, it has said to have impacted grades as only 1% (approx) achieved band 6
now in 2011, it has changed again. So does a syllabus changed really impact on the grades? Like will on average, marks be low because many can't study...
