what do most people choose as a co-major with actuarial studies... i hear the most popular is finance but then lots of people seem to think it's pretty useless, because everything you really need to know about finance is covered in the actuarial major... what other major would be useful with...

next year i'm going to be doing BCom with majors in actuarial and finance under the co-op program. i was planning to do the diploma in languages alongside this course but yesterday found out that there may not be any places left in that course for next year, so i might have to wait until second...

for a start, the ext 1 exam only goes for 2 hours..so you'd only have half an hour to check over it it should be possible to do the ext 1 exam in a little over an hour (thats how long it takes to write it all out)..but i found it worked better if i just did it slowly to avoid silly mistakes...

i got 99.25 and got invited to both and usyd is my seventh preference i think? who knows whats going on..

hmm..didnt get one from unsw and its my first preference but i did get coop tho, so maybe thats why which uni are you going to go to?

there is no way that 41% was the highest mark.. the highest mark is usually 110+ out of 120. in 1993 someone actually got 100%.

yeh thats what i've heard as well. makes sense, 16/70 is close enough to a quarter.

what i meant was there are 70 ppl who get interviews (for actuarial) and they set them all into 7 groups of 10. then each person from each group is interviewed individually by a group of interviewers, but each group has different interviewers.
