    Anyone selling Criminal Law textbook?

It was only published May this year so it's unlikely you'll find one. If you want it cheaper than the uws connect shop, have a look at Lawbooks.com. Most their books are a few dollars cheaper than UWS shops, so if yo'ure buying half a dozen you could save $50 or more so it does make it worthwhile.

    Find ranking within unit

FYI in addition to what i said earlier - I was informed by a School of law academic that they don't give out rankings. So it seems they only will tell you if you came first. I find that a bit crap though that we can't find out our rankings, particularly if you have completed a very hard...

    MORE concern regarding BA!

As far as applying for the 'same seat' - you won't be. Different campuses have different cut offs, so you aren't applying for the same seat as getting in Parra for example, won't give you a right to just attend Campbelltown. As far as the degrees appearing the same - many different degrees...

    Non-Graduate Law Degree

True to an extent. But - eg I did B Laws and B Business (HRM and IR) and am not working in, nor intending on practising any sort of business related law. I am actually going into Family Law. So long as you do enough relevant electives in your law degree, your non-law degree won't be any sort...

    Find ranking within unit

I have found out previously by asking lecturers, however this was usually to find out if i got 1st place or not when i was pretty sure that i did. Not sure how receptive they are to these requests in other circumstances as I have never asked in any different circumstances. Also - my requests...

    Non-Graduate Law Degree

Just curious - why did you decide to do non-grad law degree as opposed to turning your BA Psych into a BA Psych combined with B Laws? I only ask as a few friends have done/ are doing Psych/Law and the two seem to compliment each other well and they all seem to be enjoying it so if that's not...

I find it funny though when half the trolling is people bagging out respective unis for being sub-par, only to later discover that they did not even achieve the results necessary to gain entry. So if the entity is so sub-par, then, for want of a better word, they are 'sub-sub-par" lol

    15% off law books

Sorry, wouldn't have a clue.... I only knew about it cause i went in on campus to buy some stuff and the lady at the desk pointed it out to me. I couldn't see anything about it on teh website though so perhaps its safe to assume from that that it's only in store?

hey :) re your comment via rep points - i figured as much... seemed a bit off for someone with a 2004 HSC on their profile thingo to be asking about these kinds of things.

    Arts/Law vs Social Science/Law

If by that you mean does your non-law component dictate what area of law you end up practising (I'm not sure if that's what you're asking or whether you mean employment beyond being a lawyer also? but I'll answer on that basis) - In short - no. It may help inform you better of the context of...

    15% off Law books

FYI - the UWS Connect Books shop (the replacement for Co-op at UWS) is selling Butterworths/Lexis Nexis books (eg Q&As, study guides etc) for 15% off until 31 July. Not sure if non-UWS students get the discount, but didn't see anything on the signs today saying it was UWS students only. For...

    Summer courses @ UWS ?

ADR = Alternative Dispute Resolution. You need to do this before doing Mediation. LOBO = (i think as i haven't done anything resembling this:)) Law of Business Organisations

    Summer courses @ UWS ?

I have done law ones before. Generally - ADR, Mediation, Intro to Bus Law and Tax Law (non law student) is offered each year. From what lecturers have said, the others that are offered change year to year, sort of they take it in turns so to speak to do a summer unit. Eg last year there was...

Which university is best for law?: The definitive answer

Whilst those comments are valid, I, and other UWS students, have had interviews for tipstaff/associate positions in the past and whilst I was far from the most qualified or 'intelligent' student interviewed so was not surprised that i did not get the position, the fact that I am a UWS student...

    Transferring Out

Good to hear you're happy with your decision. A lot of people after they transfer aren't happy cause they transfer for the wrong reasons (i.e. 'i don't like the UWS stigma'). A girl i used to work with went to Notre Dame and the convenience factor certainly sounds good about the uni. Will be...

    Opinions of this uni?

If you are trying to cause trouble, don't. These kinds of threads have popped up over and over and over again and it achieves nothing. However, if you are asking for a genuine reason - it would help to know what course and/or campus you would be most interested in finding out about as people's...

    Transferring Out

You should speak to the student centre - the information available is a little bit unhelpful as far as these things go. Not surprising really that info isn't as forthcoming for wanting leave, as it is for wanting to enrol lol :) If you speak to someone at the student centre, at least if...
