2009 UMAT - How did it go?

I chose the exact opposite and said, if they were palindroms, you can't distinguish between either languages. This was problematic for the rest of the plate questions.

2009 UMAT - How did it go?

Good. That's 2 questions right haha. Petty consolation though. I was also thrown off by that queue question, and the western versus other language.

2009 UMAT - How did it go?

Uhmm, there were 6 cards. Two of them were chosen by some guy. The objective of the game is to choose the most pairs successfully, and consecutively. If you dont pick a matching pair, your partner gets a turn. Considering that the guy's got the first pair right, and the second wrong, his...

2009 UMAT - How did it go?

Well from the ACER website: Please note the following: [LIST] All questions have the same value, therefore by attempting as many questions as possible you stand the best chance of maximising your score. No marks are deducted for a wrong answer. They had better be. Mmm, that being said...

2009 UMAT - How did it go?

Wasn't it the one when the happy guy has a domestic argument. Because he's a male, and when they argue, their testosterone level increases? EDIT: Okay. At least, that's like, one question I got right..

Poll: 2009 Umat - Hardest section?

That's so true. Like I said in another thread, I was completely raped by this section, yet when I think about it, if I hadn't panicked so hard, I should've been able to do this. I suppose, I'm more a non-verbal person though. I preferred section 3. General ability was the best, back in the day.

2009 UMAT - How did it go?

Hahaha. You deserve a rep for this. However, he did startle me when it was announced. It was protocol at any rate.

Haha, let's hope so. Is this your second attempt?

The first person I actually agree with on this thread XD.

2009 UMAT - How did it go?

    I was raped by section 1. I think sections 2/3 were alright/fine.

has this site been slow lately?

Oh man, I thought it was my PC. It initially took half an hour to load the site, and 20 mins per link. Now it's improving but..

UMAT : Nervous? Excited? Tensed? Suicidal?

Haha, I'm arriving there at 7:30 at any rate. I live around 20 minutes away.. Jeeze, UMAT has probably been the single most seen, equally dreaded acronym of the day.

    UMAT stopwatches

It's a good thing they're prohibited. They are extremely annoying under test conditions. :D

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

That's possible but, the issue there is the fact that people have held onto something that has been false all their life. If the above hypothetical were true, that is. We need to dispel illusion in order to attain enlightenment of our condition; isn't this the case with everything? At any...

Who has done the best cover of a song?

Mad World - Gary Jules (although I really like Tears for Fears) I disagree with the OP, Soft Cell's cover of Tainted Love was the best version. :) There's Helter Skelter by Dana Fuchs from Across the Universe which was pretty good in itself too.

Some are born gay, some achieve gayness, and some have gayness thrust upon them

Yes I genuinely believe that you can justify these things without god, e.g. Aung San Suu Kyi. People do sacrifice their livelihood in the name of justice, and they are not motivated/willed by any divine creator, it is simply their personal beliefs. Agreed. :) Unless of course, Iron is a...

Probably timeless. It only takes 2 syllables worth of effort, no? :)
