It's hard but certainly possible. There's no magic formula, if you want an 80% average then you'll need to put in the effort. Not sure about the achievements thing but put in whatever you think is relevant. You can't really do anything else so you might as well do your best and see how it goes.

i wouldn't recommend complimenting it with finance. the two degrees overlap too much (in terms of the qual stuff anyway). do something else like accounting or economics with your Act degree.

To be honest with you mate, I think the degree sounds really corny and generic (like some uni made it up themself). I think you'll be safer doing a B Commerce, because it has marketing as a major. And it's pretty much a globally recognised degree (like Law/Science/Arts/Economics/Engineering...

You can do: 1. B Arts (major in French) 2. B Econ 3. B Commerce (Finance) or B Finance Pick 2. Any other disciplines you wish to do will need to be done as electives and thus won't be formally accredited as your degree.

if you haven't done maths before i suggest you do the following - pick up a year 11 and/or 12 text book and read up on calculus. use "maths quest" and you're probably going to want to look at math methods. - take a bridging course at ANU in calculus. if you do well in it, then - do emet1001...

think economics and finance and them bashed together. yes i do this degree combo personally and that's pretty much the entire truth to it.

that's a good degree choice and if i could rechoose mine, i'd probably do it (i'm doing finance and economics). and yes economics will require a fair bit of maths but only in later years.
