    Do you like english

LOL a lot of people who are good at english hate it. Unlike other subject - I don't dislike it because it's difficult - I just don't like the nature of it.

    Stress?

yeah - you shouldn't really stress for prelims. Save the stress for your hsc :p

    15 units

Yeah, it's best to just do a few subjects and focus on all of them really closely and get the best marks possible for those subjects.

Re: What UAI/course are you aiming for? What's Theory/Law - is it like a normal Law Degree?

    Looking forward to year 12?

I believe, the sooner it ends - the better. So I think - let's just get it over with. I mean it's going to happen anyway - so why not just get on with it.

    15 units

15 units - you'll stuff up all your subjects because of pressure and worklaod - then you'll end up with a crapper UAi then what you would've had with lets say - 12 units.

Recommended Texbooks/Study Guides for Preliminary HSC?

Re: Recommended Texbooks/Study Guides? But wouldn't it be useful to use study guides as an additional supplement toy your understanding? i mean I know you should never base your knowlegde on a subject purely on a study guide - but a study guide would help wouldn't it?

    Do you like english

Yeah - I've started to do that. I underline quotes and lines when I read a novel - the school says we're not allowed to write in the book and we might incurr some fines - but stuff them... I'm going to underline :p

    Subject choices for yr12

I'm still undecided about my subject choices. After some consideration, I'm not sure if I'm going to drop Software Design at the present moment, because I want to do 4U maths, but if it's too hard then i need SDD to fall back on - because my school won't let you go onto 10 units.

    Does year 11 matter?

Wow, that's pro :p I don't have proper rankings for maths anymore, because I'm accelerated :( I'm not even eligible to come 1st in maths and get a mathematics award - so unfair :(

    Your favoutire exam conditions

That's really shifty. We have our exams in Year 12 rooms, to prevent noise.

Things to do during holidays between end of Year 11 and start of Year 12

I agree with that. I think that a lot of people who say they study 10+ hours, are actually just bluffing it.

    Starting HSC work?

Re: Have you started hsc work yet? Haven't touched HSC work for any subject besides maths - maths we've finished the HSC course, but that's acceleration so it doesn't count.

Preliminary HSC Yearly Exams Thoughts & Results

LOL, that's not even possible at my school, we only have 2 exams running on one day. I've finally finished my exams, did pretty well in them I think - except for SDD - but the whole class stuffed up.

    Physics

I hate it. To me, they've 'stupified phyeeshicks' with the lack of calculations. Now it's only a mere 30% of calculations - I believe it should be at least 50/50.

    Do you like english

We've all got that problem for english to some extent - the most difficult part of English is finding quotes and integrating them into your discussion.

    what do i drop??????

They're beneficial - because they widen all opportunities for you in University. If a uni has pre-requisites for their science based subject - you've satisfied all the requirements for a wide range of subject. I would've dont all 3 subjects - but I don't plan on doing a science degree in UNI.
