does doing standard english mean my life is screwed?

How can you be screwed if you do Standard English? How can you be screwed if you do a particular subject? Your UAI is calculated using the top 10 units (including 2 units of english of course) you have sat for in the HSC, so you're not screwed if you did Standard English, as long as you did...

To drop or not to drop EX1

Well you have to take into consideration; do you really enjoy the subject? Because that's the main factor you should be looking at. From your rankings you look like you're completely capable of doing Extension English, but if you are just doing it on scaling I'd drop it. However if you are doing...

am i capable of doing 4u maths?

OMG you sound even hotter :uhhuh: add me on Facebook, yeah? Back to the maths (which is equally as hot) Yeah, I'm guessing like 3u (because I don't do 4u... well not yet) that the concepts are probably pretty easy to learn. But the exams are so freakin hard!

    English Classes - Eep!

I've got a really motivated english teacher who gives too much homework, and my english class is full of motivated, over-competitive english freaks. So an ideal place to do well, however, too bad I hate english.

    Umat (HSC 2009 only)

Can I "borrow" them then? :D Nah seriously, I'm going to give UMAT a try. I'm not really aiming for a medical course, but I'd rather still sit it ... might come in handy if I change my mind.

am i capable of doing 4u maths?

I sure hope so. But worst case scenario, I drop 4U before the external examinations and I stick with my 2U/3U marks from this year.

    Teacher Power???

I think the school can stop you from doing a subject/course AT THE SCHOOL. However if you go to TAFE or Open High School or something, then the school has no power to stop you.

    Organising Work (merged)

Re: Folders or Books? Actually, according to my teacher, they didn't have exercise books back in the old days, so you had to use loose leaf paper. So you aren't so old fashioned.

    Prefect positions in 2009

Yeah. It's really easy to get badges at my school... Class Captains, SRC, Library Monitor, Chapel Committee, Peer Support, 'Breastplates' Social Justice Group, then there are the prefects as well. However, our badges are colour-coded, so I think College Captain is gold, Community service ones...

am i capable of doing 4u maths?

I give up my lunchtimes for maths. We have our accelerated 3U mathematics lessons during lunch and sometimes during my study periods. However if you think that it bad, in Year 9 and 10, I had my accelerated lessons 7:30 in the morning... now that was bad.

    SOR II help please

The death and resurrection of Christ is the central belief of Christianity. If you do not believe in the death and resurrection, you are not a Christian. As for its importance, talk about how humanity was saved throught Christ's death and ressurection, and how humanity's sins were saved through...

    Prefect positions in 2009

That's true.. our school doesn't have many privelges for prefect... heck our badges are pretty dodgy as well... I mean the badges i got in Junior school are the same design as the prefect badges. I'm applying for a prefect position.. not sure if I want to apply for an executive position (and...
