    Coronavirus/Covid-19 Discussion Thread

I actually followed up on this because I couldn't believe what I was reading. Again it's fake news. It's the media twisting words as usual. Trump never said to inject sanitizer, it is taken totally out of context. Watch the full conference thing. The media really is a piece of shit.

    Does God exist?

If God exists in the form of a being(or spirit) it will completely destroy everything as we know it. Our perceptions of Physics and of the Universe will completely change. Yeah it doesn't really matter but I have yet to meet anyone who convinces me that a God in the form I have described exists.

    Does God exist?

Well as far as I know from the religions that I have studied, God is considered a being(or spirit). There are many different interpretations of these and all of which are different. If God was an external force then I would not consider that to be a God, it would just be a force of Nature. It's...

    Does God exist?

God being a creator and ruler, a superhuman being or spirit with the power to create The Universe etc. By definition 'nothing' can not exist. Therefore what is left is existence. We are a very very small part of existence.

Yep, unfortunately no President is perfect. You win some you lose some I guess. However I don't mind when he bashes CNN on fake news and other people that deserve it.

    ATAR Calculators

Do not worry about such things. I'll explain why. If you take a student from James Ruse for example and put them into a rank 500 school but keep every single factor constant such as how hard the student works, how good/bad the teachers are, how much tutoring he/she gets, how much motivation...

Correlation between ATAR (degrees) and future salaries?

Don’t need to have a job. You can run your own business and earn much much more without a degree, many people have done it.

    Tutoring or not?

Just continuing an example is if you ask a 16 year old Math Olympian with no tutoring to sit the 4u HSC, even though I was tutored for 4u by an amazing tutor, I could not match up to their ability in the subject. There's a 99.99% chance they would end up beating me no matter how much tutoring I...

    Tutoring or not?

More than likely this is probably the reason. No one really tells you how hard they're working so you don't really think of it but it's probably the case. Tutoring is a great asset if used correctly. Many people think tutoring does all the work but then fail to actually work hard at the subject...

SRS Entry for MQ and Co

I highly doubt they will do any scaling of your marks because it's not up to them and as such they don't have the expertise required to do that. iirc from some people I know who did SRS they look at your raw marks.

Does this mean that Year 11 marks will count as internals for our HSC?

I would hope year 11 marks don't count towards the ATAR. If that happened to me my atar would have probably been in the low 80s and I would've missed my course cutoff which was 96 by heaps.

    UNSW chit chat thread

Yeah I mean it wasn’t bad as such but I guess my expectations were really high because everyone’s always talking about it.

    UNSW chit chat thread

I legit had my first HSP a few months ago. Never again!! It’s sooooo plain like literally all I see is meat and some chips and some sauce. It’s soo overrated. I would rather eat a delicious Oporto burger!

Which trial papers are usually the most difficult?

At a university such as Usyd or Unsw or a college. When I sat it, it was at this College which I forgot.

Which trial papers are usually the most difficult?

Yeah you just take the paper home. Enrolments open later on in the year. There’s still a few months.

Which trial papers are usually the most difficult?

Every year a committee of users from Bos develop the paper and some time before the HSC they put up a post here on BOS which tells you how to register and what not. Enrolment is basically done by just sending a PM to the authorised user, and then just turn up at the venue. The papers are marked...
