    Selective schools debate

Also it kind of has to do with Aus as a whole. As mentioned by @blyatman the whole culture in at least NSW is to drop everything and focus on nothing but academics for a year or two as opposed to the United States where academics in high school aren't the major goal but also extra-curricular...

    Selective schools debate

Here's my response to this. [1]True [2] Not really. No one who wants to get a high atar really plays in high school. Especially in year 11 and 12 where most students drop sports(including me). So really doesn't matter the school but any student who wants to get a high atar will end up...

Modern History or Maths Standard 2?

There's really no such thing as having too many 'essay' subjects. I mean other than Maths really all subjects your writing essays as answers. Believe it or not I actually studied for HSC Physics the same way as HSC English. I didn't bother doing anything except writing essays. So really if you...

Cherrybrook Technology High School become selective?

I've never heard anyone prefer baulko over cherrybrook. Who told you most choose Cherrybrook over Baulko? Cherrybrook is an alternative that people use because Baulko is really hard to get into, so it just happens that more go to Cherrybrook.

Macquarie B.Comm/Arts + Scholarship or USYD Comm/Adv Studies?

Isn't it 5k per year.. That's like more than half the total you would pay per year for uni.

    Best English tuition?

Yeah I agree but I just don't believe it's ethical personally. I was lucky enough to go to a tutor for 3u maths who didn't discriminate me because of my crap school and really crap marks in year 10. I ended up with a mark of 96. That's a real tutor right there..

    Best English tuition?

Not necessarily. By 'weak' I didn't mean students who don't have the capability but students who are just getting a bad mark for one reason or another. Maybe their study technique is wrong? Maybe they're just not receiving enough feedback? These are all factors that can contribute to a student...

Cherrybrook Technology High School become selective?

Probably not. Yeah it's a really good school but still nowhere near the top Selective schools.

    Best English tuition?

I'm actually starting to hate Delta now lol. What business do they have judging a students ability from the school they attend? It's these kinds of tuition places that accept students that are only the best and then publish on their page "oh look all our students state ranked." A good tuition...

Macquarie B.Comm/Arts + Scholarship or USYD Comm/Adv Studies?

Unless I wanted to look for pursuing something overseas in the future where Usyds prestige will play a large factor, I would probably go with Macquarie in this instance. You get a great scholarship and really for Australia it’s not gonna make a large impact if you go with the less prestigious...

    Best English tuition?

I would recommend a private tutor. English is a bit different to other subjects in terms of what you need from your tutor. Having a class is basically like your school, there's no point paying for that. I recommend private. What do you mean Delta doesn't offer tuition for your school?
