    99+ ~ aggregate?

    aggregates are calculated after scaling...

    the most popular textbook

I think all books are fine (not excel though, I have something against it), once you start to criticise your own work.

    99+ ~ aggregate?

isn't that hard... considering an average of 87-88 after scaling would get you there .

    Hardest 4U topic

I hate it because: 1.) somethings are obvious.. but you will have to derive them anyway. 2.) the average length of my answer for a question = 1 page, compared to 0.3 for other chapters

    Simpson's Paradox

Yes, ofcourse it is in the HSC topic: harder 4 unit

    strange volumes Q

which one uses fundamental theorem of calculus to prove simpson's rule? all I recall from any book I ever read was: interpolate the 3 points into a quadratic integrate the quadratic.

Cyph, you're "one of us" and not "one of them" I hope. Is Uni hard? The impression that I am getting is that it's 10x the difficulty of Highschool

In your response you are to refer to your set equation, a theorem from the board of studies "equation" booklet, and a variety of other results of your own choosing.

    conics + arnold=?

Here's a conic question which should take quite some time, I posted a ellipse version sometime ago P is a point on the hyperbola x^2/a^2 - y^2/b^2 = 1 With foci S, S' PS, PS' meets the hyperbola again at Q, Q' respectively the tangents at Q, Q' meet at R. find the locus of R as P moves.

    Hardest 4U topic

Graph sketching is the worst.... heres the order: hardest ->>>> Graph (I just can't draw) Mechanics (long working) Conics (long working) Integration (very long working) ->>>>Easy most others Harder 3U is not that difficult

    conics + arnold=?

All books are about the same, unless you want to get lucky and recognise a question in the HSC. All conics's about is coordinate geometry (distance, gradient, midpoint, ratio, intercepts etc), differential calculus (finding gradients usually)and solving equations.

what do EM waves disturb though? don't get me wrong I actually agree with f001error. I believe everything that exists is a disturbance of the 'vaccum'

And make sure you give examples in your talk, use them to highlight the "areas of concern". Digression: notice the trend, physics and chemistry became wordy subjects since 2001 now we have oral presentations for mathematics. In 2010, the 4 Unit mathematics paper would consist of 3...
