What is the male to female ratio at UNSW School of CSE

You'll probs see a unicorn before you see a girl there Nah it'll usually depend on which branch e.g. Chem eng has male to female of 2:1 at UNSW which already has a higher proportion of males

How long does it take you to travel to uni?

Thinking of the same thing USYD 1hr-1hr20min depending on redfern or central and probs 1.5hr+ to UNSW and ~20min to MQ haha :blink2:

Difference between comm vs finance etc.

No. It is not "worse" than AF, I'm not sure why it's more popular but a quantitative understanding of finance is definitely advantageous. UNSW offers the same course degree/majors in commerce. Have a look for yourself...

Question for those who do BScience (International) @UNSW

Chem isn't a prereq, it is assumed knowledge so you can enter without studying any chemistry. If you want to study units involving chemistry it is a good idea to do a bridging course OR get yourself a tutor/self study and go over some chemistry before you start but usually a bridging course...

Difference between comm vs finance etc.

B comm Finance is mainly just regular finance e.g. corporate finance and investments. Applied finance is quite similar in terms of finance but is much more quantitative (both involve maths) e.g. mathematical analysis/modelling of finance using calculus and probability. It would no be similar to...

    HELP: Transferring into UNSW Engineering

You can do pretty much and degree and transfer into engineering provided you get 65WAM and complete 36UOC. You can do MatSciEng and transfer but you'll probably have to catch up on mining/civil eng specific subjects. If you another degree eg BSc make sure you the same math, physics units for...

What is everything that one should consider when comparing universities?

If the destination you're going to move mainly relies the fact you want to do petroleum engineering it would be a good decision to go WA and do the course at UWA since thats where the majority of australia's oil industry is located at. However UNSW and UOA are also both good for petroleum...

    Midwifery UTS

Glad we helped :) tbh I'm not too sure since their diploma of adv nursing at UTS is available to Bachelor of nursing graduates only iirc. She could probably do a dip of nursing somewhere else afterwards whether at another uni or TAFE. Nourah would probably know though :p

    Midwifery UTS

She is likely to get in however it really depends on course popularity and midwifery seems to be very popular at UTS. Her subjects will not effect her chances of getting in. The *guaranteed* entry is 94.50 bit I'd say she has good chance given her competitive atar. Midwifery will have subjects...

    Elec engineering

"FREE for UTS-enrolled students" - https://shortcourses-bookings.uts.edu.au/Clientview/Schedules/ScheduleDetail.aspx?ScheduleID=1690 FM will or will not prolong your degree depending on which uni you attend. At UTS you have to take a maths readiness survey before enrolling in MM1, if you...

    Elec engineering

Both UTS and UNSW offer foundation math subjects that you can do before the normal math units. At UTS you can enrol in fundamental maths before MM1 (takes up elective space) and at UNSW you can enrol similarly before MATH1131 (may prolong degree but I'm not sure). You're probably better off...

Will i make it into the course?

USYD flexible entry only applies if your atar falls below the cut-off by 5 points (in that case the cut-off would be 79.55 for the 2015 intake), however their BSc/B lib arts atar was around 70 this year so that would probably be your best bet and you can transfer into the regular BSc stream the...
