    Help please!!

I would like to point out that you don't HAVE to only do 1XXX units in first year. You are able to do higher level units if you meet the pre-requisites but most students like to complete them all in the earlier years because it gives you greater flexibility when choosing other units of study in...

    Bachelor of economics degree

You're expected to have a good grasp of mathematics but it isn't too crazy. There are recurring mathematical concepts but as long as you aren't taken aback, then you should be fine. An Accounting/Finance/Economics major mix seems very typical of people who choose to apply for jobs in the...

What's the best degree to do with commerce?

Would like to add that doing a double degree would be recommended if you are looking to get into a specific field (that's where picking the right majors becomes extra important) unless you are able to do a thesis based around that particular field (even then a double degree would be better imo).

Breaking the law or: how I learned to stop worrying and dressing like a 14 year old

Re: How to dress up as a 14 year old? That's because they are not. IIRC you can still use your school concession until February.

Re: How to dress up as a 14 year old? Why can't you get concession? Accusing them of being "mean" doesn't tell us anything.

What's the best degree to do with commerce?

In regards to dual degrees, it can be difficult to figure out what jobs would use both degrees but it's very common these days to find firms hiring students which have studied across a broad range of fields. Something may not seem like a natural match but you'll find that the general skills you...

Tony Abbott quietly shifts UN position to support Israeli settlements

That's the biggest deficiency in this government. A lot of the policies are sound (at least more than most people give credit for) but they are horrendous at PR.

Tony Abbott quietly shifts UN position to support Israeli settlements

Not really news in the sense that this would be the Coalition's stance on the Israel/Palestine issue. That was a given. I agree with Plibersek though. It's disappointing that it had to be through the media rather than through their own mouths.

Would recommend Science for either the mathematics or statistics majors.

What happens on MAIN ROUND OFFERS DAY ( CommLaw)

That's pretty much all you do on that day. In terms of picking majors, you can do that at any time provided it gives you enough time to plan out your degree so you finish hassle-free. This is why a lot of students tend to do the compulsory units in their first year as they may not have a solid...

PAST HSC'ERS: What advice would give to parents who kids are starting Prelim & HSC?

Re: PAST HSC'ERS: What advice would give to parents who kids are starting Prelim & HS Don't pressure your child. In most cases, they are able to deal with issues within their own support network (barring anything serious where greater consultation may be necessary) so learn to back off. A...
