    help! i burnt out

Oh ok, I thought you meant four hours after school (which is a lot). Four hours for a whole day sounds good, but break it up + timetable Gotta love stress eating - I downed almost a whole bag of red licorice tonight cos I was behind schedule on my English assessment

Can I/ Will people come to me for a tutor?

I wouldn't let you tutor me for anything, not by anyone who scored in the 80s. You got good results though, I just wouldnt want to catch my tutor out on anything - that would be an instant fail for them...

I dont get how u dont do 4U h/w, but yeh he's getting kinda angry. I'm late all the time and I don't think he likes it, but I asked him to write my reference today and he seemed kinda caught off-guard but flattered, so i should be in his good books for a while now..

    help! i burnt out

If you freak out or try and push yourself now it won't do any good - relax, sleep, and then focus on doing a bit of work over the weekend, thats the only way ive found to get over it

    help! i burnt out

Burning out sucks, but you really need sleep or you'll have no chance. Take a days break and come back later ...or just eat some ice cream

    Teachers

Most of the teachers I get nowadays aren't great. Some can't teach, some can't mark, and a few of them aren't that smart. And yeah, I've only noticed it recently too, ever since I started trying at school. Maybe it's cos I'm in the public school system though, any private school kids want to...

Future Plans: What ATAR/course/job are you aiming for?

Re: Future Plans: What UAI/course/job are you aiming for? Bonus points and "entry schemes" cause too many people to fret and worry about them than they should. They (UAC, etc.) should sort all this 'entry' stuff out after the tests so people focus on what matters.

    half yearlies

Fk'ing awesome timetable i've got, with one test a day, mon-thurs, so no rushing or anything, then a break of five whole days to prepare for 3U maths (which'll need some prep). Anyone else got a really long exam period for not a lot of tests? (2 wks for 5 tests seems heaps for me)

    Best uni for studying Law?

The JD is coming in soon to UNSW and USYD, right? Will that change anything major to the relative competitiveness of these two uni's?

year 10 work exp. - where to go?

What firms have you tried at? Make sure you tell them you love the area of law and want to do something in that field later in life, and also stress your flexibility. I did these things and managed to get in to a decent firm, although that may be for another reason entirely... BTW, W/E at a...

    China Case Study

Even though doing what you did is extremely lazy, it usually works. There is a thread on here which provides a decent list of resources for the case studies that you're doing, but I'm not going to tell you where - because you need to look for yourself. I can tell you its stickied somewhere, so...

    Global Environment LCMD thread

What's Global Environment all about, and will I like it? We're doing it later on (as well as Family), and I immediately thought it would be boring, Geo-related law about global warming and other such issues.

How to manipulate your creative writing story to fit the exam question?

If you're going to pre-prepare a story for the exam, you can't expect to manipulate any story perfectly (unless you get very lucky). Obviously, the better your skill in English / more creative you are, the easier you will find it to manipulate. Otherwise, prepare a few stories OR prepare only...

    Frankenstein/BladeRunner

Blade Runner is great, and Frankenstein is decent enough, and they are both much more interesting than some of the other options in the module. There are so many similarities between the two, making it very easy to talk about them in an assessment, that no one should be complaining about having...
