    limitations of BCS theory??

I don't think this made sense at all (no offense) 1. It doesn't predict effects of superconductivity? From wiki: "BCS theory derived several important theoretical predictions... These have been confirmed in numerous experiments". An example is the Meissner effect which BCS theory correctly...

    limitations of BCS theory??

BCS theory explains superconductivity using the concept of cooper pairs formed from the continual exchange of phonons between two electrons due to lattice distortions. However, the theory predicts that such cooper pairs can only form below a temperature of ~30K as too great of lattice vibrations...

Print out all the past papers?

"According to one paper manufacturer... a cord of wood produces nearly 90,000 sheets of bond-quality paper or 2,700 copies of a 35-page newspaper." Source: http://www.infoplease.com/askeds/much-paper-one-tree.html Hence, one tree would produce about ~30 x 90 000 sheets of paper SO DON'T WORRY...

    3D trig Q

From 1994 HSC paper Q7: Uluru is a large rock on flat ground in Central Australia. Three tourists A, B, and C are observing Uluru from the ground. A is due north of Uluru, C is due east of Uluru, and B is on the line-of-sight from A to C and between them. The angles of elevation to the summit...

  7. Q

do u need to make ur own notes to get a band 6?

Notes are really just the physical form of knowledge. People emphasise the process of writing notes to consolidate your understanding and really sharpen it as opposed to using other people's notes. Use other people's notes as assistance (cross-reference, checking, etc.) not a main learning method.

Thanks :) I am pretty demotivated now though. I have this mentality that there is no worth in trying hard for the hsc anymore if my mark is just going to get dragged down because of a combination of easy school exams + weak cohort (relative gaps are small and so 2nd is practically guaranteed to...

Welp.. finished my trials. Disappointed in the difficulty of the MX1 exam because me and 1st guy probably got 100% and they gave me no opportunity to overtake. -_- I consider myself better than him but I guess I'm gonna have to trust him to set a high HSC mark for moderation

If more than 10 people get 100% raw in MX1 and they are all ranked 1st in school (so assuming maximum overall HSC mark), how is state ranks determined?

That's ridiculous lol... I thought they'd throw in some questions aimed to separate the top people (I know a lot of people who are better than me in this forum) but I pretty much breezed through that paper (first time I did an official HSC paper under time constraints to practise)

Uh....... is the new MX1 format ridiculously easy? Just timed myself for 2013 HSC MX1 paper and finished with 1 hour remaining. Doesn't this mean a lot of people going to get 100% raw?

    Counting Q

I have another Q that I feel doesn't deserve a new thread: "There are two distinct round tables, each with five seats. In how many ways may a group of ten people be seated?" How would you set the "reference point" for each table? With one table you just use a random person but idk here

General question about probability and counting

Is there a way to be consistently correct or confident in answers? In an exam there's no way to check if you missed a condition in your solution and so if your brain is not thinking right then that's such an easy way to lose marks... I really hate it
