    Area between 2 curves helpppp

With these types of questions, draw out (or picture) the graphs and determine how you can find out the area (usually it's just partialising the area depending on point of intersection). Then, it's all on your algebra for the following integrals.

    Polynomials Question

Yep, you're right. I should have been better in my expression. And thanks for the terminology, I never knew that :P

    Polynomials Question

The question is aimed at the fundamentals: P(x) = D(x).Q(x) + R(x), where deg D(x) > deg R(x) Example: Divide 9 by 4 9 = 4(2) + 1 It makes no sense to write it as 9 = 4(1) + 5, since you can still keep dividing further (5 = 4(1) +1) So, for that question (and more generally), you can express...

Study guides and textbooks for 4U?

Is Cambridge below Fitzpatrick in terms of difficulty? I thought the questions in the latter were terribly easy

Study guides and textbooks for 4U?

Cambridge + T. Lee (what you already are using) is already enough...

Is polymer more reacctive than its monomer?

I'd argue that reactivity increases with molecular weight due to the increasing strength of dispersion forces.

Confused about activity series + standard potentials (galvanic cell)?

Yeah I also would like someone to provide clarity on this one. I've only had to use the standard reduction potentials for electrochemistry... Is there a significance to the activity series of metals? (they are not in same order as on the reduction potentials).

What is colour of neutral in methyl orange?

Yeah I'm still curious about how you thought 3.1 - 4.4 is yellow, and then also 4.4+ is yellow.

    What is a radical?

Oh crap what am I on about. They can easily have zero charge. Okay thanks :) Got it now
  15. Q

    What is a radical?

I'm more concerned about whether a free radical CAN have zero charge (it was in a physics questions; had I known free radicals could have zero charge than I would have gotten the answer). I can't even come up with a free-radical of zero charge without making it absolutely ridiculous. :S
  16. Q

What is colour of neutral in methyl orange?

If 3.1 - 4.4 is yellow, and 4.4+ is yellow, then wouldn't 3.1+ be yellow? Doesn't really make sense does it
  17. Q

What is colour of neutral in methyl orange?

Are you saying that between 3.1 - 4.4 it is yellow, and that also 4.4+ is yellow?
  18. Q

What is colour of neutral in methyl orange?

Methyl orange in its natural state is orange. It has a pH range of ~3.0 - 4.0 Thus, a neutral solution would turn methyl orange yellow.
  19. Q

    What is a radical?

Why does google define a free radical as "an uncharged molecule (typically highly reactive and short-lived) having an unpaired valency electron" I always associated free radicals with charges :S
