Do we get to see our final "HSC exam marks" when we get our results back?

Every year on a specific day (don't know the date) every hsc student wakes up at 6am to get there atar score or overall marks. What i'm curious to know is, do we receive what we got in the HSC exam? Ie: Modern History - 86/100 History Extension - 46/50 English Paper 1 and Paper 2 -...

    Cheating

I wouldn't cheat, but if you had too, you could get away with it. I don't advise cheating, but if you really feel it will help you then i'm not going to stop you, right? I think it would be really stupid to cheat in an exam (go to the bathroom) in a race-against-time subject like History...

    History Extension

I did History Extension this year. I will say this; it is not an easy course. Much harder than Modern and requires a more detailed analysis of sources and historians!!! Some find it really tedious just analysing historians, others do not. You are guaranteed to have drop outs though! My class...

Does anyone actually do the "Australia" option for National Studies or section IV?

Re: Does anyone actually do the "Australia" option for National Studies or section IV Woah are you a teacher? That's interesting though. Btw, if you were a Modern History HSC marker - would you have to know ALL the topics? That would include the obscure countries like India, Australia and...

Does anyone actually do the "Australia" option for National Studies or section IV?

Re: Does anyone actually do the "Australia" option for National Studies or section IV Really? What else do you know about it? Is there a history topic statistics sheet? Also, i can understand Japan as a choice, maybe not India, but i don't think i've ever seen ANY notes at all for kids doing...

Raw marks for Band 6 in Standard English?

Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't it very fucking hard to get a band 6 in standard? Like 30-50 people per year get it? I heard you need nearly full marks for everything and full marks for some? I'd say the cut-off would be definitely above 90, just an assumption though.

Does anyone actually do the "Australia" option for National Studies or section IV?

I see on the past Modern HSC papers that always have so many countries. Also, from board of studies arc (sample essays) i've seen answers from weird topics and rare topics from J Edgar Hoover to American cultural life and Indonesia, but i've never come across an "Australia" essay. I've...

People who did "The Life and Crimes of Harry Lavender", what did you write about?

For section I on Distinctive voices, Harry Lavender was our schools module. I thought the question was pretty straight forward, i wrote about a lot of stuff!! I liked it and just wondering what you guys thought about it/wrote about it? Also, does anyone have the modules paper?

    module B

That was the hardest question i think standard has ever had to offer! Tough shit, yo. I talked about the culture clash of Amish and American worlds and how Book and Rachel (the individuals) struggled to co-exist together due to their differing societies. Hoping that was okay :p

Is it true 2 markers mark your papers?

Yes, every paper is double marked (twice). From Essays to maths there will be two people marking it, and the second marker does not know who originally marked it. Example of discrepancy: If in lets say a history essay out of /25 the first marker awards it 23/25 but the second marker awards it...

    how much did everyone write?

Section I - 5 Section II - 4 :/ annoying question (left it till last) Section III - around 5.5 I have quite small, messy hand writing and usually a minimum of 7 or 8 lines per page. Overall i was happy :D apart from my witness conclusion lol

Why does everyone ask how many pages did you write?

Are you KIDDING ME? 40 pages? What the sh**!!! How the effing eff do you write 40 pages in 2 hours? Does he get like 3-4 words per line? I have 7or8-10 per line and i got 14!!! That was a stretch enough!!! But 40 jesus christ. Really didn't know you could waffle that much for standard...

    English module C

The question was practically the same as the catholic trial question? Anyone notice both of them were about "consequences"? Basically it was a breeze. For Rita, i spoke about the consequence of leaving her husband (Deny), which made her more independent as a woman. But also, i discussed how...

    Witness Module B

That question threw me off a little... I pretty much spoke about Book and Rachel's struggle to be together because of the differing societies in which they live in. I also related it to the difficulties the Amish and English worlds co-existing, and how Weir's perspective of the Amish and their...
