    Question about alkanols/alkanoic acids.

    not really 2 H-bonds in alkanoic acids - more like 1 H-bond and 1 dipole-dipole interaction

    help the dumb dumb again

Basically, the theory behind this 'auxiliary angle method' is that, by expoansion, Rsin(4t +a)=R[sin(4t)cos(a)+sin(a)cos(4t)].......... (1) we have sin4t + sqrt3(cos4t) know take the coefficient of sin4t and cos4t and square root the sum of their squares to get R ie if it si Asin4t...

Mobile phone went off during final exam

seems to me like OP is pissed off that the person with a phone going off in an exam is not being punished - i would also be upset, however you trying to get a better grade has nothing to do with it. Perhaps one would pursue trying to get that person punished in some way (although way too late...

    Calculation question***

Okay here it is: your answer to (a) is correct. for Na2S2O3: n=cv c=0.100mol/L and v=0.00480L therefore n=4.8 x 10^-4 moles ratio of I2 to Na2S2O3 is 1:2 therefore to get the number of moles of I2, divide number of moled of Na2S2O3 by 2 thus n(I2)=2.4x10^-4 moles (b)...

    Complex Numbers Question

yeh i like to use the circle geometry way, with the fact that a radius and tangent at a point make a right angle, and you know 2 lengths of teh triangle (the radius and teh distance from O to the centre), so then use trig to find the angle, and the argument is pi/2 minus that, in this case...

    chem help

Your first equation is wrong - you have more atoms on the right than left, which violates the alw of conservation of matter. if your talking about the ionisation of HCl in solution it is: HCl --> H+ + Cl- OR (The more correct) HCl + H20 ---> H3O+ + Cl- what you're after is...
