They either told us 70% or 60%, but they could have been lying to motivate us.

I think we had 16 students get 99.xx last year, the highest was 99.95...And 70% of the grade got over 90. That's what they told us at the beginning of this year anyway.

Does that mean if someone gets ~20 for every exam (yes, it happens at my school, Fort Street) it affects the entire grade, in any way?

I really have no idea. I was under the impression that to get 98+ you need 8+ units in band 6, at the moment 3 of my subjects (eng ext, maths, sdd) aren't in the top band. And I really have NO idea how these things scale, i.e if 42/50 for ext eng gets scaled to Band E4?
