My Goal For An Immortal Generation.

Hot tip, we are still many decades/centuries away from immortality if that is even possible. We don't even know what causes consciousness.... Interesting goal, but sorry to break it to you, not something you can achieve on your own, you would need a massive expert team of scientists with a crap...

Cambridge vs Fitzpatrick: A Final Vote

The Cambridge explanations aren't very good for a first introduction to the topic. But I find them very helpful to gain a deep understanding of a topic, they cover all edge cases and with the proofs make things make sense together. Maybe that's just me though

Cambridge vs Fitzpatrick: A Final Vote

My school (top 40) used to use Maths In Focus. Thank goodness they moved to Cambridge, I think they did it with the new syllabus. For some reason my teacher has an absolute fascination with Maths In Focus and suggests it for "extra revision" all the time. I tried using it once, never again, the...

    Coronavirus/Covid-19 Discussion Thread

All the points you make are reasonable, and I apologies for not counting those. I don't think it changes my viewpoint though. (Exaggerating here) lets say just 10% of those deaths were of otherwise fully healthy people, and 90% fell into other categories such as terminal illness or false...

    Coronavirus/Covid-19 Discussion Thread

Your family member is right in that have been 9 deaths in Australia as a result of an individual having the 1st dose of AstraZeneca and developing either TTS (8 ppl) and ITP (1 person) out of about 3.1 million first AZ doses given (9/3100000). However it is not true that there have been any...

    Anki help

Don't really recommend starting Anki for the HSC now, pretty late to do that. Spaced repetition only really works well if you do it over a longer period of time. Its a pretty big time sink to add cards, your efforts are probably best focused elsewhere imo

    Plagiarism?

My teachers at least wouldnt like it if you reuse an essay in different exams, not sure how youd do that enyway, but regurgitating an essay is fine, heaps of people do it, even if its not necessarily an very good idea.

    Lockdown thread

I think that a lot of people forget that correlation != causation. Many people have died after having the vaccine but not because of the vaccine, from completely unrelated causes or conditions. This is a very common myth perpetrated by antivaxxers.

Lol what a crap page. first of all that is some antivax page. Only show the footage of one, inclined to not believe that there were 3. It is not extremely rare for people to feel faint, or less commonly, pass out from any vaccine. I can almost guarantee that the person in that footage will have...

Perms and coms question help plssss.

Lol, I did this question from cambridge just yesterday :P There are 4 odd numbers and 4 even numbers in the first 8 positive integers. You're selecting 2 odd numbers and 2 even numbers. So the answer is ^4C_2 \times ^4C_2 = 36 (odd options times even options)
