    Welcome new unsw asb students!

As the title says, welcome to all of you guys who have been offered and accepted enrolment in the Australian School of Business. As a 4th year Com/Eco student, it's great to see the enthusiasm that you first years bring to university each year. I recommend that you try and get as much as you...

Fair enough. I've only ever used it twice anyway so I'm not incredibly familiar with it.

    enrolment

Rectangles is only a guide. That's all it is. It only provides a recommended timetable for you. For example, if you can't get into a particular class (because its full), and you base your timetable off rectangles, then your timetable gets fucked. You can do whatever you want with your...

    enrolment

Doubt it. USYD students are given out timetables by the university so you don't really get a choice in the first place. however, you can change them on a certain day before semester 1 starts but there's no guarantees on success and heaps of other kids will try doing the same thing. If Im...

Rectangles is a website/program that handles timetable arrangements. Just Google it.

    New course structure or old?

It's always old. Think of the people in 3rd or 4th year com/eco (like me) who have seen the course requirements change over 2 to 3 years.

    marketing as a major

Business. Which equates to practically anything within the commerce spectrum of majors.

    marketing as a major

You don't need to do marketing in university to work in marketing.

    How Many Days?

    Fixed.

    How Many Days?

No. It only means one extra year at university. If you weren't doing 2 majors, then you'd be doing a major and a 'minor', a minor meaning you have to do less courses for that particular field (marketing, finance, etc) and doing even more courses in the other (say accounting, economics)...

    How Many Days?

Your comm/eco example is not the best to use. Because it makes no difference whatsoever as you're doing same amount of courses regardless. Commerce students for the record shouldnt be at uni no more than 3 days a week. If you manage to cram your tutes all together, then that would cut it down...

    general UNSW chit-chat

Yeah, I'd assume so. When I had an interview for New College, it was in the dean's office.

    marketing as a major

I've worked at a few marketing agencies now (not as a marketer, just in office admin roles). Marketing is all dependent on your creativity and people skills. In other words, when those ideas stop coming out of your head, youre expendable. Anyone can do marketing. Which is why most firms are...

    Going out by yourself

So in other words, you live solely through other people's experiences and secondhand accounts of the world rather than on your own personal experiences. You're not well cultured. You're really just lying to yourself that you are.

do they have woodworking club at unsw

I've been at uni for 3 years now and I know that the average student will not be fucked doing all of this unless they're getting paid. University students in general focus their energies on mostly study, work or a club/society that is already well defined rather than to be bothered starting...
