Well for example: If someone is coming 10th/20 at a school ranked in the top 10 then they are likely to be achieving better results than someone going to a school ranked 500th and is also coming 10th/20 and so thats why people ask for the school ranking, other than that it has no bearing on...

How about with 1 unit subjects? Is it the same with the whole 50%- 50% thing?

So far: Bio- 87/100- 87%- 3/7 Maths 2u- 26/30- 88%- 1/7 Maths Ext 1- 20/20- 100%- 1/3 :p Chemistry- 67/70- 96%- 1/7 Biology was a shocker but I'm still waiting on English.I'm not expecting very much for it though :(

I'm not sure if anyone has heard of Micheal Colloney (not sure how it's spelt sorry) but I recently read his novel "Echo Park" for recreation and found it very interesting, its a good one for exploring contemporary crime fiction and the hard-boiled detective.

Totally the same for me. I learn if I read something, then write it out then do a few questions relating to it. I can't just read other's notes and remember it.

Re: Exams approaching too quickly...Advice required. Ahhh but then it wouldn't be cramming. I am worried to slip back into the cramming cycle and I'm sure it will happen, it started again for my last assessment this term... It's a bad habit.

Finished all my assessments today I'm so happy :D I'm thinking of having about a 3 week break in the holidays and just organise all my stuff I've done this term and then have the rest of the break because I'm sure it won't take 4 weeks. Holidays sound sooooo good!

Iyounamu and lyounamu wtf?? anyways I understand where you're coming from with this thread, like I read about how people started studying a few weeks before the HSC and ended up with amazing UAI's and I'm putting all this effort in constantly all year and I'll end up with a UAI not even close...

Seriously I was the exact same as you guys, freaking out like crazy over my SC results. It does not mean ANYTHING, you could have gone ahead and got band 2s in everything and you will look at the results for about one minute then never pick it up again. I can hardly even remember how I did...

Hello kara :D Ummm I've found the best way to study for maths is to complete the chapter with the exercises the teacher gives you and stuff but at the end of each topic write out the formulas you learnt in that topic as a summary sheet, maybe include a few examples but I'm talking very...

Don't say that! I have a feeling I'm going to spend my holidays just doing school work. My maths teacher "recommended" that we have 2 weeks break then do school work for the rest. I really need to go over some Year 11 maths stuff :vcross:

I don't really "plan" my haircuts but I say it averages out to about every 2 or 3 months.

Don't get too down bored of sc, there is still a long way to go and a ranking of 4th is fine. Just keep focused and motivated and I'm sure you will do very well. I got my 3 unit test back the other day and go 100% :D then I got 88% for my 2 unit one haha.
