    Who else can't find work?

A lot of students that only wanted to work for summer holidays will be leaving soon, so don't give up... Think about places which will be busier soon. Try applying at the Royal Ag Society for the Easter show, or bakeries for easter. Childcare will be picking up with back to school (a lot of...

    Importance of High School Reference

It's nothing personal against the applicant, we are often on our own at my work and are thrown into the deep end from the get go. There's a high level of personal responsibilty and intensity with sales targets, it's not really a job that a first timer can survive in. We're not talking checkouts...

    Importance of High School Reference

I would personally view more recent referees (especially superiors at work/supervisors at uni) to be of much more importance. Usually the resumes that are handed into me (students applying for retail) only have high school references if they do not have work experience, so they haven't been...

Bachelor of Arts/Master of Teaching (Primary)

I'm sure that as long as you fulfill your 80 point education major, a 80 point psychology major would be fine. I have a few friends in the Primary pathway program and their arts major is psychology as well.

    Parking at Campelltown

You park in any of the bays that have yellow lines. Don't park in blue or red lines.

Bachelor of Arts/Master of Teaching (Primary)

There are education subjects that you need to pick throughout your degree for the 80 point education major and accelerated fourth year. You also pick your arts major (also 80 points) in your first year. Have you had a look at this? Course

    Confused

You can certainly call, but don't expect anything helpful. MQ's admin is known to be absolutely shocking. Was the 76.00 for main round or early February round?

    Modelling

I used to do some photographic work for students/new photographers as well as promotional and event hostessing work. It is lots of fun, just make sure whoever you approach/approaches you is legit. You also need to be very confident to survive criticism, stand up to others and try new things...

Extra studying apart from Uni commitments

Do you have the option to take open electives that count toward your degree? If so, why not take subjects with what you have in mind as electives? If not, you could always consider TAFE study. As well as doing my degree, I'm studying for a Cert III traineeship through my work, and plan to...

What to expect on my first day? TAFE HSC

I did not do the HSC at TAFE, but I did do the TPC and you'll definitely find that it is a more adult environment. If your campus was anything like mine, expect 2 hour classes, a casual atmosphere and friendly teachers who you address by their first name. Good luck!

BBC Students who have failed Basic Maths Skills Test "Advice"

I only picked my autumn units in first year and added more before spring semester.

What bag are you using for school?

I work in surf retail, and surf brands do make satchels in fabric materials, not just the leather look ones. My shop stocked Roxy and Quiksilver ones, but we're all sold out. This time of year is crazy for back to school stuff.

    Post your timetable 2010

Yeah, definitely. I would personally go for the Mon, Wed, Fri, because I work Thursdays and I'll be less tempted to spend my weekend partying. But that's just me :P

Business and Commerce unit set help

I attended AcPrep which was similar to UniPrep. It's good if you haven't been exposed to uni style referencing, essay structure etc before. Personally I didn't find it helpful to me. I had already done a year long teritary prep course to get into uni, so I had learned all that previously. A...

Is there a minimum GPA you need to graduate?

It does happen in Australia, but it is rare. My sister and her friend graduated with distinction (top 2% of cohort I think?), before they started honours. This was not at MQ though, although she does attend there now.

    Eyebrows

I get mine waxed and pluck in between waxings myself. I just googled threading, have never heard of it before. Does it hurt less than plucking? Where can you get it done, i've never seen it advertised.

Diamond on the tooth. Hot or not?

It looks like a cavity...yuck. That being said though, I've seen one girl who has it and it looked good on her. But she's got perfect teeth and is very pretty. Still, no. Yuck.

    Arts @ UWS 2010

I remember in first year, most of the psych major students took part in a survey for our major assignment - the cohort that took part had approx 150 girls, 60 guys. It will be a good year ;) Oh and don't be surprised if you end up in a tutorial being the only male, or having one other guy...
