I do 3U Maths, 3U English, Economics and Modern History. And Chem. And Chem is my hardest.

    gen maths. the DISADVANTAGES

General Maths is capped. At 91. If you get 100 it scales to 91. That's disgustingly terribad. That's why you don't do it. If you even make 1 mistake in the exam, it's no longer 91, it's well below. General Maths is a joke of a subject, you do learn statistics in Maths earlier than Year 11, and I...

    ATAR Estimate Please

Yes place it below 98.80. I reckon you should get low to mid 90s. @Schoey, hwo did you calculate. Also you haven't got a clue above JR or Baulko, as we get the scaled marks on our reports, i.e. they take into account the fact that we go to JR etc and scale the marks up accordingly. So in...

NSW to dump UAI! New Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)

Also to those who say it disdvantages higher up students, nobody gives sbhit whether you get 99.85 or 99.9, and either way if you got 99.75+ you'll get the course cutoff easily.

NSW to dump UAI! New Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)

The entry levels for uni courses are scaled up accordingly. So no change

    Uni course require maths?

Probably advisable that you take Maths for Commerce/Econmics, but 2U should be plenty. Don't take General as that won't help you at all. Maths also helps get you bonus points. If you don't have Maths, simply pay $120 and go do a 2U/3U bridging course. It will really help.

EVERY QUOTED POST HAS BEEN FUCKING REPPED FOR LEGENDARY AWESOMNESS James Schofield, shut the fuck up, stop whining and go do your School Certificate past papers as it sounds like you need to do some, or GTFO and go operate your fucking kitchen. Also I know 100 UAI kids that struggle...

NSW to dump UAI! New Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)

SO FUCKING TRUE. So many people were upset about no 100 etc lolol. Then the teachers told them it was basically a name change and 99.95 = 100. That cheered them up. Also compared to Year means that all the people that started school in Year 7 get counted. Basically more dropkicks are stacked at...

NSW to dump UAI! New Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)

The other states are using ATAR as well. And a 99.95 in NSW is considered equivalent to a 99.95 anywhere else. Before 100 in NSW was considered the same as 99.95. Put simply, up to 99.75 in UAI gets bumped down in ATAR, but only 50 or so kids state wide really get affected by this in terms of a...

How do you see certain UAI ranks as?

I'm after 99.75. There's a point in trying. Also Comm/Eco isn't the end of the line. MBA after that for me.

    UAI estimate?

Need Marks as well to get a rough idea. It depends which subjects. For me, getting 92 in Modern scales to an 86-87, but getting a 95 scales to a 94. So yeah it's all about how low the top bracket starts that affects your scaling.

+2 Stop changing your fucking Subject Choices James. No maths to 3U to 2U to General to 3U to no Maths. French came and went. Italian Extension came and went. SOR1 came out of nowhere. Hospitality came and Vetenary Science was in there for a while. Now DT/Chem have joined the party. Make up...

    UAI estimate?

Actually you aren't. Getting 90 aligned in everything is about 97.95. You need ~93 in everything for a 99.

    Westpac Mathematics Competition

We don't do ICAS in Ruse =(. The Westpac paper is the one that everybody including "dumbshits" do (it's compulsory for all 3U+ students in Year 11/12 and all students in Years 7-10) and the UNSW 3 hour 6 question open book exam is only for smart kids, aka not me.

How do you see certain UAI ranks as?

Actually half the cohort gets <68 since the SC dropkicks get stacked at the bottom. I considered doing Comm/Law then I realised that Comm/Eco is better for me and doing Law would be pretty dry for me since I have little to no interest in a lot of it. I like some Law but not all of it. I do like...
