    Morning classes

James Ruse. 10 free periods a fortnight + EE1 morning classes on those particular days + those subject choices = James Ruse.

What selective schools should my cousin apply for?

James Ruse. No, I'm not trolling. Ask him which area he'd prefer to go to school in, and then pick the selective in that area.

    Emma by Jane Austen

There's some in Prelim EE1 and a hell of a lot in Advanced English HSC resources on BoS. I too hate Emma, and found them useful in finding stuff. I'm sitll going though, bashing away at the gay essay I'm trying to write. It's so boring and difficult.

    school's rank

Nope it just means you're on track to do fairly well. Similarly doing poorly in a top 10 school doesn't necessarily mean your UAI will be down the gutter.

    Average UAI

Tommy mate he can't even work out what he's gonna do in school next year, sometime he was 3U maths other time he's flaming the crap out of maths. The average UAI is about 67, seeing as 17% of kids drop out (I think).

    Mathematics course and 3/4 unit

Yeah 2U isn't particularly hard, neither is 3U for Year 11. Pretty much all I need to learn for 2/3U is Integration, Sequences and Series, Induction, Motion and Applications of Calc. And that's it for both 2U/3U Year 12. And it will all be done in school =D

    are we behind?

Notice the asterisk around the word only. Implies I don't have as many as bronte but I still have a lot. I just have 15 maths periods flat. There's no way you can tell whether it's 2U or 3U stuff. it's just Maths. 4U Maths however has specific periods allocated to it, as the syllabus is really...

Is 99.5+ an unrealistic aim for me?

It is, but it gets too much when you beat virtually the whole grade and still chuck a hissy fit. SC doesn't matter AT ALL, Iand I really don't care that I got 2 bad 5s. My results for SC were: English: 96 Maths: 92 Science: 89 History: 89 Geography: 94 Computer: 96 As such, they...

Do you support the Government's upgrade of Australia's broadband infrastructure

Lol Rudd just wants his goddamn internet filter and this way he can make sure he gets it. It's all a big cover for the compulsory internet filter. So no, I don't support it.

    are we behind?

I'm not accelerating though. So I'm just doing normal 3U maths. @Possessionless: My school has a policy of 5 periods per unit for each and every subject. For Seniors there are 65 periods that work can be allocated in. As such, the maximum amount of units you can do is 13 (Unless you take...

Is 99.5+ an unrealistic aim for me?

The above is completely true. History Extension is disgustingly bad because ~2 people do it and they're normally dumbasses that can't get 4U Maths/English and take History Extension to make an even number. Hell even I don't want to do History Extension (Major Work + 3 hour exam fuck off mate)...

Is 99.5+ an unrealistic aim for me?

At Ruse we don't have arguably the best HSIE Faculty like you do down at Grammar. We do however have arguably the best Science/maths faculties, hence why James Ruse dominates in thsoe two fields, and since it's much easier to get a high mark in them, Ruse tends to top because of it. I dohwever...

    are we behind?

Wow Limits I think you're quite behind to be honest. I'm not accelerating but I'm 3U, however I did Limits in Week 4 Term 1. So I think you're a bit behind =) But you should get there with 20 periods a fortnight (I *only* have 15 =) )

Is 99.5+ an unrealistic aim for me?

2U maths doesn't, Bio Doesnt, and Phys/Chem don't in the 90%+ range. I checked it. Modern/Eco scale disgustingly well once you hit the 90%+ mark, just to get it there can be more difficult than Sciences due to marker bias.

    are we behind?

Nope. We haven't started any Integration or Sequences/Series or Perms/Combs. Integration is after Half Yearlies. Do note that we do the whole topic in one go, i.e. wo do all of Differentiation as one topic. So that goes from First principles up till then end of Trig DIfferentiation + Max/Min...

Is 99.5+ an unrealistic aim for me?

Humanities have more of a chance to be based on bias and marker opinion, and there's not as much rigidity and certainty like there is for Science/Maths. I still took 2 Humanities because I'm good at them, but I'm just saying it's much harder with Humanities because you can't cram a textbook and...
