    TPC days/timing?

When I did my TPC in 2007 you needed to do a minimum of ten subjects (7 A's and 3 B's, though I believe this has changed to 5 A's and 5 B's now, correct me if I'm wrong) with the remaining hours from 720 hours made up with electives which are usually rolled into your normal classes (for example...

    Better than UWS?

How about you attempt to judge universities once you actually study at one. Perhaps then your close minded opinions may have some validity (though I very much doubt it).

Ideally how many hours a week should a Uni student work?

What a small minded statement. A TAFE diploma can be just as intense in workload as a degree. Don't judge it until you try it. I currently work 20 hours a week, but I'm cutting back to about 12 so I can focus on uni and having a life more - can't wait.

Free microwave for use in Penrith campus?

There used to be in the cafeteria where the seating is, but I haven't been there since 2007 so I don't know if it's still around.

How much do you spend on petrol a week?

Lately I've used just under a tank a week, costs me about 30-40 dollars (using E10 in a 1.4l engine with 44L capacity). Will probably cost me a lot more now I'm back at uni though :(

    Transferring from Tafe to Uni

Are you referring to moving from an industry specific course (TAFE diploma) to uni? Or from a general education course (like the HSC or TPC at TAFE) to uni ?

TPC subjects pass mark: 50% or 55%?

Is that a new development? I remember reading on the unit outline for Bio A that it was 50%, but that was in 2007.

    zazzy has a question!!!

I think all uni's would accept as many students as possible for the money, regardless of their uai's. But UWS would have less demand for the places they supply (being a less established university), therefore they'd choose to accept as many students as they could to fill spots - even if this...

    zazzy has a question!!!

Yeah, it saves me typing everything out :P I think to be eligible for the third advantage you need to have UWS in your top 3 preferences - it should say on the website.

Bankstown B.A Texts and Traditions 2009 Spring Session, EXPENSIVE TEXTBOOKS

The unit is exactly the same at Penrith and Bankstown, it's just they changed the books required between semester one (when the unit ran at Penrith) and semester two (when the unit will run at Bankstown). So next February, Penrith students will complaining about this as well.

Lady, please stop touching me on the arse and asking to try on all the clothes I'm wearing. You're a middle aged married woman, that does not make it ok to touch me. It's getting really creepy.

How to work out expected UAI for TPC?

I did the TPC in 2007, though I did different B's to you. Biology B scaled up 5%, LALS B stayed the same, and humanities subjects (like Historical Studies) scaled down slightly. My campus didn't offer Calculus, Physics or Stats B (only A) so I can't really comment on them, though I would assume...

    Tpc help please!!

Yep, I get what you're asking :) In my TPC (2007) small units within a module were not counted toward the TES, but rather counted toward the nominal hours of the TPC. In my year, we had to do 7 A modules and 3 B modules and the smaller subjects within them (e.g. Lab Techniques in Chemistry A)...
