It should be standard maintenance. They should do it once a year. I can't believe that when they did the refit and had a HUGE team of IT staff in overnight to rebuild the registers, system, etc so the registers got their new numbers, etc, that they didn't clean them then.... I was a bit...

Always on the POS/computer - you should only use the form if the website is down for some reason (I'm not sure if you send that away or try and put it through the website later). But you're not working over 10 hours. 8.00-18.30 is 9.5 hours plus 1 hour meal break. That's funny that WA would...

Haha, I'm sure she won't be that bad =P Ah, that's so weird! But explains why there was a big ad hoc on one of the smokeshop registers I saw in Sydney that said "DO NOT SELL CIGARETTES FROM HERE" lol, I was thinking, where do you sell them from? :P Weird. QLD you can sell from any register, by...

Your agreement will be backdated to the end of the last agreement, and you will get backpay (a lump sum) from then up until the day it's brought in. QLD agreement: Sundays, 150% (170% for casual); PHs 250% (270% for casual).

No, you can definitely key them in, we do it for bush orders. And no, it's not those passwords (and I wouldn't advise broadcasting them).

Never let a customer attempt to key in their card number. It is an easy way for thieves to use a skimmed card number. Call your supervisor over next time.

NO! That would be SO annoying. If they are born today's date or prior in 1991 they can buy cigarettes. In 2010, it will be 1992. Easy. I don't even bother typing the DOB, if I see 1992 I go "lol, nice try loser." edit: i misread that, thought you meant it should ask for every item you scan...

well, at our store you have to control check all mobile/sim purchases, so usually the supervisor/smokeshop just does it, and if you scan the crap, load up the telco check and while its loading record the info on the paper sheet, by the time i've done that it's loaded up and ready to go...

yep, but you can do the AMTA form through the POS now (under SVR menu -> Online Check -> Telco check) so the everyday account is pretty much useless now.

There's no way I would have made our authorised holding (95k) without stripping as much excess as I could. They have way too much money in those tills normally... 1500-2000$ worth after clearing excess 50s... most of the tills were sitting at $600 last night after I had my way with them lol. But...

One time a lady was closing her Ezy Banking account and withdrew $5000 cash. We took her out the back to give her the cash so no one would see her taking that much money!

Either because they would have to line up and wait again (a no-no!) or because they want people to take cash out from manned registers first rather than from SCOs because it means less work, in the grand scheme of things for the office cashier. I'd say the first since Service rarely gives a shit...
