the Melbourne city store looks like fun with all those SCO's and express registers and it's actually quite a large store too with a Big W opposite. But it might be very tiring being so busy all the time. Of course it will be the new style and very likely to have self serve!! It doesn't appear...

We would never do a sale with $450 on 3 gift cards at our store. We have had past experience with stolen credit cards. I get suspicious for any gift cards over $100, especially if they want multiple cards. Checking a photo ID is a good idea. Maybe there is a restriction on the register now...

I don't think any supervisors/managers at my store know how to do the online ID check on the POS except me and 2 others I have told. Today: a supervisor says to me "I wish we could do this on the register!" me: "yeah you can!" LOL

Well I always call IT myself for self-serve issues so I don't see the issue with calling them for other register issues. What's everyone else's opinion?

This definitely fixes slowness... and I think this should be done once a year!! I've noticed a few different colours 1. wood-grain look 2. wood-grain look with a blue tinge 3. plain brown without the wood look

yeah that was fun we were doing AMEX and CBA credit cards as manual EFT! So busy in the morning right from 7:30am (we open at 7am). I had to laugh at the 3 full pages of operator grids and supervisor grid for today. Normally only about 1.5pages of operators. It went nuts for the last 4 hours...

what's the rule/policy with the ID check for selling a mobile phone or sim card? Do we have to fill out the AMTA form and do it on the computer or POS? Or can we just do it on the computer/POS without the form? Or just the form? It seems stupid to do both... the info is getting sent to...

Don't some people have bank accounts where they are charged if they go over a certain number of transactions for the month? Or is that only at ATMs and not supermarets?

I also thought of this idea. Would be great if the barcode could be used by supervisors to login to smokeshop or when doing a service 10. I wouldn't have it for everyone though because if a customer finds the barcode they could log into a register, open the cash drawer and steal money (if they...

Yeah there isn't really enough room at most of the Woolworths self serve lanes. We used to have a PDA for the attendant which would work the same way as the RAP. But not with wowpos sco...

I wish it worked like that at our store where someone was actually rostered on for self serve and they stayed there for the whole shift. It all depends on the service and store managers. Eg. I'm expected to serve smokes unless it's really busy. And if expess is busy and my store manager is...

Just to go back to the SCO discussion: I suppose it's different at all stores but - - we have the silver key with us in the service desk all the time. - the attendant can leave the SCO area eg. usually to serve smokes - if it's busy the SCO attendant is the first one to go on...

What do you guys do when it says "amount dispensed different than expected"? I just open up the SCO and get the money out of the coin hoppers, is this correct? With the old self-serve if would try to dispense the money again which was much better.
