Hey guys, im doing this double.. just wondering, did all u acst/comp guys have to do comp125 to start off with as well (without any previous programming experience, and without having done comp115 or 155)? it just seems pretty hard to start off with as though they expect us to already know...

how often do u get assessment tasks first semester yr 1 for actuarial studies? im doing ACST151, STAT171, COMP125, MATH132 ... do u get take-home assessments much? if so, what do they involve? or is it mainly just in-class exams?

Hi guys, I am also in the same boat as dawma88...I am doing the Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial Studies) / Bachelor of Science (Computing) double degree. I also did not do 3 unit maths as I went to a low ranking school (446) which didn't offer it unless I did it via correspondence by myself...

ha thanks..lol yeah 2004 it was close to 1800 checks, 5 changes - so u can imagine i was excited when i found out, but then disappointed when i found out it didnt change! they said the change wasnt big enough to make a difference to my final examination mark, so it must have been in the decimal...

Yeah I scored 97 for exam and assessment. What was the lowest hsc mark for someone who achieved a state ranking? did anyone with 97 make the top achievers list? id imagine 98 would be the lowest for that?

never had tutoring in my life, didnt do any 4unit subjects, went to a public school ranked 446 last year...got 98.5 :) still played a lot of sport throughout the year too
