    shoe-horn sonata

I reckon watching the play would help me see the whole 'picture' of the story more clearly. That said, I didn't see it live, so I relied heavily on my Shoe-Horn Sonata study guide book to fill me in. If you haven't already, borrow a copy from the library. It helps. It's been designed to help...

English help. Half yearlys blew me out of the water

Yeah. Mate, it's okay if you've only completed a few, low-weighted assessments. If you've only been tested, for say 30% of your course, then you have the 70% left to improve. Every single mark counts because it can change your rank. Don't dwell on your previous marks because it's a waste of...

    HSC timetable is out!!!!!!!!

I just checked mine. I've got three exams in the first week; two in the second; one in the third; one in the fourth. That's a total of 3..5...6..7, yes, seven exams all up. That's correct :D I don't have more than one exam a day so I'm happy about that. My last two exams each have their own...

    Mid term Marks

Currently riding on about an 80 average mark :D Position wise, I should be in the Top 10 all round :P

    Exams!!!!

Wow. Thanks perfectionist. Those were good tips. What I also suggest is to have a full session of sleep before the examination. If I follow what perfectionist wrote and also had a good solid 8 hours of sleep, I'd be set I reckon.

    Raw

I really like the book Raw too. It's got a great message and it's interesting. I'm not doing Away for the HSC so it's not a set text for all 04 HSC students baka! I think you're doing Away for Module B: Close Study of Text? For this module I'm doing The Shoe-Horn Sonata. There are heaps of...

    'Anthem for Doomed Youth'

Sorry mate, looks like it's too late for any advice. But still, for next time, check your local or school library for study notes. It could save your arse next time :)

Does ne1 have a copy of the Away play that they're not using?

And if buying your own copy doesn't look like a good deal anymore.... you can borrow a copy from the library (both your school's and your local). It's free :)

    Thanks Toodulu, that's a great idea :)

    UNI preferences

I'm going a bit off the topic.. I'm not sure what course I'd want to do in uni. Is there such a thing as a questionnaire online that would give me an indicator of what course I'd like to do in uni?

    How much do you care?

I don't find school so bad. I like the environment - how we're all working towards the same goal, well generally. And if Uni/Tafe is so much better, then great! Lol. Something even better to look forward to. But guys, I don't think it's so bad! Well, for me it isn't anyway. I do feel shit in...

    Institutions and Personal Experience!!

Also, looking through BOS for other "Institutions and Personal Experience" threads should give you more related material. I suggest you use related material that is of a different form (or whatever it's called) to your main text. For example, if your main text is a movie, choose related...

    Skatieboarding

I have a tiny skateboard and I use this to learn the basic 'going forward', 'going downhill' and 'turning'. If anyone is reading, how long did it take you to start venturing into the more fancy stuff? I want to buy a new skateboard (my one requires lots of effort to move which makes going...
