Can't be helped with acst esp in 1st year, dw youll have a day off each semester next year (hopefully if you are doing appfin not sure about the other double degrees)

ok well yeah, i went to enrollment on monday as well and i did some of my classes on campus. so they didnt let me do ACCG100 and suggested i do ISYS123 and do my classes at home, except now ive realised that my lectures for ACST101 and ISYS123 are clashing sooooooooooooo i dont know wat to do..

am i suppose to choose evening classes for ISYS123 now?
ive tried calling the department and no one answers..

LOL at academic advising today the guy checking my proposed program form was trying to convince me i had to pick up another unit (making a total of 12cp) to be a full time student, i told him i was pretty damn sure it was nine cp, so he went and checked. He was really embarrassed, turns out he'd made several people pick up one more unit than they had wanted to to become full time students.

i am now fully enrolled, paid and everything

but fuck the units ICOM101 and CUL100 caused people so much trouble since the co-requisite for ICOM101 is CUL100 but CUL100 was only avail in the second half of semester so a bunch of us had to go from E to W to get a waiver ..fukk

total took around 4 hours

I had a similar situation, this lady was looking at the International studies course description instead of Law combined with Int.Stud, so she kept telling me that I had to pick up some required units for Int.Stud like Chinese or Japanese or something And I was like- hmmm I sort of wanted to specialise in the European Studies not Asian studies....
She finally signed off my form without realising that I had more than 14 units in Semester 2 so that was a pain when I was enrolling in my units! I ended up dropping EUL101.

Oh and AsyLum- How can I get a permission from the Dean Faculty to do the Residential Unit in Russia (RSN240) because it didn't let me enroll into it

I suspect you'd have to go through the head of international studies or the office and explain then they'll get it signed for you or something.

But umm all that is at W6A level 2, to the right is the euro studies offices, to the left is the dean and stuff.

I'd say at the very least discuss it with them now, get things out of the way at once, rather than have to chase it up later. You may totally forget about it during exams etc

u can do Euro studies rather than Asian - there are 2 streams - and if you want to start @ 200 level you need to do the post hsc stream....

that just means with EUL101 you'll have to do it in a later year.....

God i had an awful time on Monday. Decided i want to major in marketing + organisational behaviour. but since i havent got my exemptions yet for next year, i have to wait till the 13th to get hte exemptions, so i can get the waiver, so that i can enrol in psy104 + 105. So i've enrolled in 2 subjects so far for Sem1 and 2 for Sem2 but cant do the other 4 until the 13th

i was doing all this from 11am-5.30pm!!!

i saw heaps of people sitting around filling out timetables there and looking stressed
best to go prepared and if you've done it wrong you can fix it.. now waste the first 3 hrs getting it wrong first and then fixing it after

i didnt get a diary can i get one another day lol

That's because other unis are strict as hell on what you can and can't do and it's pretty clear cut if you can't. At MQ you've got the option to do practically anything, and the freedom comes with having to figure stuff out for yourself.

i took less than an hour at MQ on monday....

and the diaries were being given out at a special tent, between E4A and E4B i think (maybe other places as well)

^ hmm yeah i saw the sign... but i walked past the tent and there didn't seem to be anything and i was too lazy to ask

s'okay though... i don't really want a diary with the new logo... it's kinda... =\
