Honestly, if they are going to act like children chucking a tantrum, they are far less likely to convince anybody of the merits of their argument.

Tony Abbott and the Liberal Party will take the Australian economy backwards. Interest rates are set to rise under an incoming Abbott Government. Tony Abbott can’t even deliver credible policy costing to the Department of Treasury. How can Tony Abbott deliver a budget surplus? Tony Abbott’s reckless spending sprees during the Howard government resulted in seven interest rate rises in a row and eleven warnings from the Reserve Bank of Australia. Tony Abbott has an eleven billion dollar budget black hole. Tony Abbott wants to scrap the No Advantage test for asylum seekers introduced by the Gillard government. Tony Abbott is suffering from severe compassion fatigue and opposed the increase in the refugee intake.

Hey friends, do you support Peter Costello’s reduction of the company tax from 36 per cent to 30 per cent? In my view such tax cuts plunges the federal government’s budget into the red and results in structural budget deficits. This is in light of escalating health, education, welfare and defence costs as outlined by the Intergenerational Report. Peter Costello is one of the most reckless and unimaginative treasurers in our post war history.

you dont really understand interest rates do you

Don't bitch about rising welfare costs if you support bringing additional welfare recipients here by the boatload.

Gillard has though welfare to work policies such as though love for those on Youth Allowance, New Start Allowance, Disability Support Pensioners, Single Parents and Aged Pensioners (Labor increased the qualifying age for the aged pension to 67). Gillard believes those who can work should work. Gillard believes in the dignity of work and the transformative power of education.

Under the Gillard government refugees are being made to work for the dole, engage in employment training and educational programs. Labor is forward thinking, unlike the regressive (backward looking) Abbott opposition.

WHICH WAS AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN LIBERAL POLICY. Howard invented work for the dole. How much times do I have to say this?

If Costello was reckless then how would you describe Wayne Swan delivering the largest sustained budget deficits in Australian history? Hypocrite..

There was a global financial crisis in 2008 and I don't think it would be the largest deficit ever if it was adjusted for inflation. Australia's deficit as a perfcentage of GDP is pretty small compared to the deficits in other major economies like USA, Japan, UK etc.

The Libs keep going on about the deficit like they would have gone through the GFC with a surplus.

The GFC doesn't mean we get pink batts , overpriced school halls , failed laptop in schools , more government bureaucrats and sending cheques to non - Australians. We won't improve our budget position by simply patting ourselves on the back by comparing our fiscal state with other economies. The Europeans and Americans thought debt was sustainable and look at what happened now. A proactive approach to our fiscal position is needed and the current government has not done that. Or has any intention to by continuing their reckless spending on half baked schemes.

Young people suck. They are wait to a0 spoilt, and b) ignorant. Just look at the UK to see how amazing centre right parties are. The LNP's policies are soooo bad for students (like cutting uni student benefit grants and payments) and their rejection of Gonski - which according to nearly all prinicipals in the state as vital to the future of state schools. But oh well, have you're crap big business minded government, social conservatism and climate change denialists will be great for the future of Aus. AND the worst thing about young people is they argue about trivial topics such as the personalities, scandals etc which have nothing to do with legislation. Look, without the NBN and Gonski poor people especially but the vast majority of people are going to be ******. Just look at America. This new generation is dangerously conservative and economically selfish (+ignorant).

Our budget debt isn't nothing to be alarmed about. Stop reading the Daily Terror and get economically literate.

Young people suck.
Young people are overwhelmingly centre-left, and today centre-left is further to the left than it ever has been in the western world.

Just look at the UK to see how amazing centre right parties are.
The UK is not remotely right-wing at all. They are revoltingly left-wing.

which according to nearly all prinicipals in the state as vital to the future of state schools.
I'm certain that the heads of any government institutions (and private for that matter) would overwhelmingly support increased funding for their respective institutions. This does not mean that increased funding is necessarily as positive as claimed.

But oh well, have you're crap big business minded government,
I think you mean "government that vaguely recognises that some sort of productive output is necessary for the the economy to continue functioning".

social conservatism
Why, because of a lack of gay marraige? omg sahhh cahnsahrvahtive

and climate change denialists will be great for the future of Aus.
Climate change denialists are good for the future of australia to the extent they prevent climate change legislation from being passed. The impacts of a reduction in australian's emissions are mostly negligible, but at the same time the costs are significant. So at worst they're harmless, and best they're good for australia.

And its so bizarre that you're complaining about young people consdiering they're much more common among older people.

Look, without the NBN and Gonski poor people especially but the vast majority of people are going to be ******.
Tell me, precisely, why poor people NEED high speed internet?

And I mean its possible that increased education spending might be a good idea, but given Australia's academic performance, and its per capita productivity its been capable of generating with current and (more importantly, previous) education spending levels, its a stretch to say that we'll be [fucked] without gonski.

Just look at America. This new generation is dangerously conservative and economically selfish (+ignorant).
Um, no, the "new generation" have never been so liberal. Even the conservatives. Your views are the mainstream, stop acting like you're fighting the status quo. You are the status quo.
