aightHow's english going for everyone?
feeling fucked I should've typed up discovery notes along the way instead of sleeping in class and chatting to friends. Now all i have is this gigantic mess of sticky notes in my book ggHow's english going for everyone?
tbh you'd be digging yourself into a hole since the markers would know all the prescribed texts back to front...Speaking of english, you reckon I'd be allowed to use another prescribed text from the board of studies as my related text gonna ask tomorrow #pplandpolitics
that's more than what my friends have done lolfeeling fucked I should've typed up discovery notes along the way instead of sleeping in class and chatting to friends. Now all i have is this gigantic mess of sticky notes in my book gg
the only productive things I've done are write a short story and a find potential related text. Have yet to write my speech and submit some homework that's probably 2 weeks overdue
tbh some ppl in my class are probably swimming in english notesthat's more than what my friends have done lol
and english h/w is something i completely ignore; revoles around doing comprehension Q's and handing in some 1-2 pages of writing on discovery every now and then, wherein reality there are better things to do (i.e. work on assessments )
you'll be fine ^_^tbh some ppl in my class are probably swimming in english notes
the only reason i have a "maybe" related text is coz i read a book in the holidays and i got lucky! i feel like I'll be ok once I sort out my knowledge of my prescribed text but ugh my teacher hates me coz I'm so 'slack'. But seriously, I'm going to sort this shit out in the holidays coz my first assessment isn't until laterz
the reason i bludge at school is to relieve stress. I'm actually a lot more productive in the evening when I'm by myself and there's no teacher bossing me around, so looking forward to uni where I can be independent. will still try to concentrate in class thoughyou'll be fine ^_^
and tbf, if you're just sleeping and chatting with friends during english at school, it's probably not the best use of your time. that's why i always advocate the importance of using classes at school at your maximum - so you won't have to revise as much. it's what i did for english in year 11; worked hard in class by contributing to discussion as much as i could, and crammed just quotes the night before exams (cause i could bs the analysis), and got 90% and 94% for HY and Y respectively
o3o LOL so much for spoon-feeding. Independent learner right there.the reason i bludge at school is to relieve stress. Maybe but its not recommendedSpeaking of english, you reckon I'd be allowed to use another prescribed text from the board of studies as my related text gonna ask tomorrow #pplandpolitics
It's the year of the Google Docs. Has anyone found any ingenious ways to utilize it? I only started using it last year and it's made life heaps better but for those who don't know:
-Online live collaboration
-Sync across all devices
-Sharing with and getting comments from teachers
-Auto-save!

You clearly enjoy learning the bolded, so I suggest maybe do like 30 minutes of maths/english/science, and then reward yourself with 30 minutes of MH/multimedia. Repeat that process over like ~3 hours of study each day. That way, you're not bored easily and still spreading time for all your subjects.any tips for someone who is very easily distracted when studying/ doing hw?
I literally can't stay focused for more than 5 minutes unless it's modern history or multimedia where i would gladly work for hours.
I don't just get distracted by electronic items, i get distracted by things on my desk, noises, random thoughts, my wall, staring into space, pens, rubbers, anything.
I can't focus.
Sometimes I can't even read a page of writing without nearly falling asleep or finding something else to do.
