These holidays have made me realise how much I don't want to do the hsc. I've been training and having so much free time its actually the best. I don't want to lock in again

if your school has a careers consultant or teacher that helps you, definitely have a chat with them when the term opens

iirc early entries are open till sometime in september so ur good. to apply you need to register with uac, gather your nesa details, fill general questions and select your preferences, make a USI (there'll be a link) and pay. afterwards there should be an option labelled 'schools recommendation scheme', click and apply for that and the rest is taken care of from ur school
Yeah I did the UAC registeration bit and I'm able to put this course at USYD as a preference ............ but I head somewhere before that USYD doesn't do early entry so I'm confused now........

if u live in a low-socioeconomic area u may be eligible for mysydney (u can get a conditional offer but u have to get a certain atar depending on ur course)

bump, can someone confirm this as well please?
No, basically it is based on your rank. For instance you are first in bio and your final mark in that report is 96 but you do the HSC and get 92 and that was also the highest mark in the school you get the 92 for both your HSC and assessment mark. Likewise, if the highest mark was 94, by someone else- as you were ranked first you get it. However, there is something called moderation so that if you do HSC and you are ranked 23rd in English and get the highest mark in the HSC, your assessment mark won't be the 23rd mark of say 68 it will be moderated so that you don't lose too much.
