So, what is terrible about it? 😭 What beats the cooked ahh stress of year 12
its like the hsc everyday but youre by yourself and no one cares about u or even knows you 😭 like we dont cover the assignment in class like there wasnt even announcement to say the assignment is out and you have to read 30pages of material before your class. not to mention the public transport and how long it takes to actually get there. tbh its the 3 week of uni and my calendar is full like i have no time to breathe, while in year 12 i had flexibility like i could get away with not studying everyday and still do well. i also had friends in highschool which i saw everyday during recess and lunch like during uni you make a friend and it never actually gets to become a solid friendship because you only see eachother 2x a week

Thats more chill than I expected. Law is a good degree though (It has a good rep at least). I think engineering classes will be cooked so I've just to to hope that ecology/or bio will be more chill.
yeah law is pretty good if you enjoy it, for engineering i heard its cooked but idk i never went anywhere near it so good luck lol

Is the content super hard or is it just a backbreaking amount for your degree? I remember some open day where someone said its less work but more self-directed hence some find it more difficult. Does that statement hold up?
well i dont really agree with that statement but i am only just starting law. From what i noticed is that the more work you put in, the more you get out. Its self-directed in the sense that you need to teach yourself how to read the cases and how to understand how lawyers/judges write/speak. But that takes a lot of your time, especially if you've just came out of school and your writing skills are very basic. perhaps in later years i will support that statement but now it's quite the opposite 😂

yeah the content may be hard to understand at first sight; hence my statement about reading how lawyers speak, but when you start to get a hold of it, it gets easier. And yes, it's a backbreaking amount, right now im procrastinating reading 30 pages of our prescribed textbook lol

Only thing I can say is thank god I'm not doing law.... But given the reputation of engineering its probably a worse fate in every single way lol
honestly i feel like uni in general, in most degrees, is difficult, its a different environment than what youre used to in highschool and it takes a bit getting used to

omdz glgl. Yay now I can look forward to killing myself over hsc and repeating that again for another 5 years not even 4 months later 😅
yep so enjoy the right now lol its the best it gets unfortunately. but to shed some optimism its not AS bad as i may have described it like you do have more independence where you can just do whatever you want and youre not bound by a strict 8-3pm schedule everyday
