What are characteristics of a just law?

It treats everyone equally
no one is above the law
it is free from bias
people are aware of the law
people have access to the law
It is based on fair and equal decisions

Do you think this idea of melsc's is gay?

lol joking...
thats not my question
heres my q:
What is natural justice?
answer: The doctorine of natural justice states that
everyone has the right to be heard
and that the
decision should be free from bias
It follows two rules:
Hearing rule: everyone has the right to be heard by a judge that is impartial
Rule against bias: The judge should be free form bias
It is also known as procedural fairness... Oh yeah :uhhuh:
Ask me another question melsc

Okay i'll answer it hehe :civil law and common law systems
Civil uses the inquisitorial system of trial
Common law uses the adversarial system of trial.

Most european contries use the civil system where the judge is allowed to go out and collect evidence and research on the case it itself, where as most aussie/american/british countries use the common law system where the judge is a neutral third party who does not go out and collect info but rather makes their judgement according to the evidence presented during the case!

Next question:

- Define 4 types of crimes and what is the definition of crime and is their and actual definition in the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW)??

4 types of crimes are:
economic offences which includes crimes against property and white collar crime
victimless crimes
preliminary crimes
drug offences
offences against the state
public order offences (p.o.o.)
regulatory offences

a crime is an offence against the community punishable by the state
there is no definition of crime in the crimes act 1900.

You guys are suppose to ask law and society/human rights questions.

Eg: Identify the types of internation rights
