i wouldnt have chose standard english if i knew it would be impossible to get band 6 for it.
i cant do much abt it besides do really well in the other subjs ='(

my standard english class is full of 'dumb' people,
i regret choosing standard...

wots gay is that when ur in year 10 and u choose ur subjects

they don't tell u the consequences or how well some subjects scale compared to others

aww oh well too late now~

we not allowed to change electives now

lotsa ppl changed electives up till like a month ago... now we not allowed ... finished assesements on every sub already i think is the reason y

oh cant wait till next yr... im dropping extension english and i wont regret it

so farken boring in skool T.T

No actually theres no shakespeare in extension. IMO, its easier than advanced (not just saying that, I actually find advanced harder cos theres more subject matter).

As far as being told about scaling the main reason they didn't do it is cos this HSC is still relatively new and there are no concrete trends so they'd be second guessing and jeopardising people's UAI's. They just want you to pick subjects ur interested in and are good at rather than picking subjects just because they supposedly scale well.

Yeah i think we could change them till the end of 1st term, i swaped from chem to geog good decision by me,

lol my assessments for ext:
1) an essay on Frankenstein - i hated it so much it made me physically sick, i hated it, i carnt believe i went well in it, i was so gald that it was the first thing i handed in so she didnt know mt writing that well, wording a stuff. I still carnt believe i went well in it, (me thinks someone is a chronic drinker lol shouldent of said that shit, no one say i said it) 20%

2) an oral task learn 12 lines of a gothic poem easy enough..... to bad i forgot the last stanza shit mark 20%

3) 5000 word gothic story niot happy it is going to be sooooo bad
40%!!!!!!! 40% fuck

4) somthing to do with Pscyo a film study or something i don't know probley another essay 20%

i'm a confused on how the uai is calculated,
is it just like the school certificate where everyone starts with 50 and they go up ?

Nope, uai's can go right down to like in the 10-15 range I think. If you get 30 or below though, you get an asterisk instead of a number. They call it a mystery UAI, we had a couple get those last year.
