Holy Spirit College, we are a Catholic school a bit north of Wollongong (bout 10 minutes), and are not selective. We had people go really well, people kinda average, and people who just went well shit.

i think thats the same for most skools~

a few exceptions where the highest uai was 50 (mt druitt i think?)

and james ruse... (enuff sed)

i was jst wondering...
for the people who are getting above 80% for 3unit maths tests (preliminary i'm talkin about)
is that good enuf to go ahead and do 4 unit maths for yr 12?

our skool determines whether u can do 4U maths by having test next term

if ur mark seems good enuff they accept u

the test is on all topics

well i heard that a person in my school is doing 4 unit maths when he totally failed 3 unit maths in his preliminary

yeah its tru agnes u need a minimum of 100sth hours of the preliminary course to do that same course in the hsc

ooo kow my skool uniform is similar to yours :p

Because everyone needs basic english in order to survive in the big world.
Personally i think Maths should be, like a lower level than general, they probley will make maths compulsory one day.....

Yeesh Im glad maths isn't compulsory, I'd be screwed. But we have computers and stuff that can do our maths for us, its impractical to have machines reading for us too

maths is pretty simple isnt it?
jst understanding formulas and stuff....

unlike english.... to get good marks, u basically gotta know the words in the whole dictionary

a girl at my school changed to advanced in year 12. i dunno how they went about it. she was doing standard cos she does

physics
chem
3U maths
and some other hard subject and she thought she needed a subject off

I think it's worth changing to advance English coz then... u can aim for band 6

at our school u couldnt change from standard to advanced at the end of year 11 but people did drop from advanced to standard...

yeah i dont get the whole getting a band 6 either... i mean if someone gets between 90-100 % in their hsc mark then thats a band 6 isnt it
