Well, it will be good.

Questions;
-Any TV coverage in Australia?
-Is it actually coming to Eastern Creek?
-Is Kimi gonna win the F1 this year?
-Out of all those drivers listed, correct me if I'm wrong, is Jos Verstappen the only one with F1 experience?

Guess who will be watching this series. Me!!! lol. Typical

Isn't Alex Yoong supposed to drive in V8s this year at Sandown and Bathurst?

Alex Yoong also has F1 experience.

Wheres the German team???

Yes, Kimi is going to win the F1 this year :p

Hopefully channel 10 will have coverage for the poor motorsport fans with nothing to do during the offseason :p

There will be TV coverage.

Coming to Eastern Creek - November 6th.

Kimi will not win F1 this year.

Jos Verstappen, Alex Yoong, Pedro Lamy, Neel Jani, Thomas Scheckter and Nelson Piquet Jnr have F1 experience - whether it be race or testing. Not to mention that there is some big names in the series (Scheckter - son of F1 Champion Jody Scheckter, Piquet - also sone of F1 Champion, Christian Jones - son of F1 Champion).

Should be awesome. Remember, there are more than 14 teams.

Woohoo!!! 3 days before my b-day!!! Yay!! I can go and watch the race for my birthday present.

Argonaut, the creek may not have the best facilities. Actually, their facilities are shit the times I've been there. But Melbourne does not deserve another motor sport event. They can't put it at Oran Park, thats sold and going to be demolished. So that leaves the creek.

Yoong did a year at Minardi, 2001 or 2002 I think it was. Then he went to champ cars, and then signed with WPS in the v8 series.

I agree that the Creek has poor facilities and it smells like shit - but it doesn't mean I won't be going there. Argonaut - stop being such a bitch, you hate everything. I bet you're one of the guys who threatened to stop watching F1 because of the US GP this year.

Oh come on! Argonaut might hate everything, but he does have his good days. And he does know a lot of stuff about the tracks and cars. Eastern Creek, however, does have the best turn 1!!

Can we leave F1 to the F1 thread :p And why do I have a feeling that it will be the people who watch F1 who post here?

The street race they have lined up for Indonesia looks interesting. A street race in the Citywould be awesome. Difficult to fit in spectators, but would be awesome nonetheless. A plus about Eastern Creek is that it is next to the Kart track, which is good fun if you can get yourself in one of the corporate karts. 13hp aren't that fun anymore.

Sydeny track (but the NSW Government might build one around Homebush - MIGHT)
Ooh, I love it if they would do that!! I can see homebush from my house! Then I wouldn't have to travel 30 minutes to Eastern Creek. But I doubt they would put a road course around Homebush. And Melbourne and Adelaide get enough motorsport, we deserve more!!

if youve been around around the eastern creek layout you would see why its such a good venue to race the australian a1 round. its surprisingly undulating with some great corners (turn 1 as mentioned before, wow!) sure the facilities and etc needs to be upgraded to a certain fia standard but it wont take much. go the creek! we need more motorsport in sydney dammit

Yep. I don't thinkt he track is too bad, but what worries me is the track's surrounds. Everytime I drive past it, you get the worst smell even when all the windows are closed. I just don't know what the international community will think when they roll up to Sydney and everything smells like shit.

Eastern Creek smells? Never noticed it, surely it can't smell as bad as Mulgrave (out near Windsor)m thats smells of cow shit :p

They really need to enhance the image of Eastern Creek though. Its not visually appealing. When I go to watch the V8s, all I see is grass and huge wire fences.

How on earth are we going to get a new race track in Sydney? We have a government who hates motorsport and wheres the room to build one anyway? You would have to go further west than Eastern Creek, or to the North or South. But I really do like the idea of the street circuit at Homebush. I love street circuits.

a while ago the v8's had a plan for a homebush street circuit, not usr eif they are still going ahed with it.

thw owener of oran park (which is planned to be sold for housing) is planning on making a replacement to oran park somewhere else, hopefully that will be a good track.

eastern creek isnt that bad of a track but compared to international ciircuits its good. its good the eastern creek got the a1 gp, SA has adelaide, Vic had f1 so now its Sydneys turn!
