I decided to go next year, so that incase Schumacher does retire at the end of next year, I can see him at his best winning in Melbourne in real life and not watching it on tv.

Well I HOPE to go but I won't know for quite a while yet. If I was to get a proper job I could defer uni for a year but there's not really any point in that.

I'm having doubts if I should go though. I've suddenly decided that I want to go go - karting for my birthday :) Which is pretty expensive.

Can I come to your birthday party - I'll win.

Eastern Creek karting is definitely the most expensive but it has the best karts and a good track - but it's get boring as you can take many corners flat or just by lifting off - even in the corporate karts.

If you wan't a mix of alright karts and the best track in Sydney - go to Butterfly Farm at Windsor. The karts aren't Eastern Creek standard but the track is awesome - very twisty and fast but the banked curve at the end takes the cake.

You have other "driver's" tracks such as Arncliffe and Minto, but for a first-timer, Eastern Creek is the best but much more expensive.

Oh, I forgot about the Windsor one. And to think I go past it every day for uni

I wanted to do this at eastern creek:
The Mini Grand Prix

This is an event for 10 to 20 people
over a three hour period.

Sample Itinerary

Official welcome and registration
Driver training and safety briefing
Warm up
Heat 1 and Heat 2
Heat 3 and Heat 4
Grand Final
Presentation of Awards
(Select from a wide range of trophies, at
additional cost)

But then I looked at the deposit! I nearly died!! $500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll check out the Windsor one and see what its like. Thanks.

You can come, but I'll win :)

Does anyone know if the international A1GP races are being Broadcast? Brands Hatch is this weekend, but I don't see any coverage for it here on TV.

I spose Ten will cover it in News and RPM, but I dont think anyone is showing the race...

Fox Sports will be showing the Sprint Race and the Race live 10pm Sunday. Ten will be showing highlights I think.

Channel 10 has the rights for a delay coverage. But they aren't showing it this weekend. Theres moto gp and then straight to F1 on Sunday night. It will most likely be on the weekend after.

Do they have live timing :p
Cause I don't have fox :(

Not channel 10, you silly dope :p

The A1GP website? Does that have live timing? Like the F1 websites? I need something to keep me awake on Sunday night :(

This is what channel 10 are doing about A1GP:
Yes we will be covering the A1 Grand Prix series, and our telecasts of A1
series begin's on Sunday 2nd October at 1:30pm with the first race from Brands
Hatch.

Check out RPM this Sunday from 3:30pm when we look at the Australian driver line up.

Our telecasts of A1 will be highlights aired approximately 1 week after each
race.

www.a1gp.com - go figure

But ... the big race is live on 10 ... bathurst, and not to meantion the Brazilian GP will be live on Sunday night. And the occassional odd race is live.

Not even the V8s are live. I went to and eastern creek round, left after the race and podium had finished, got home in time to see the last 10 laps and the podium.

listening to that video on the website of the rolling start...

omg, how addictive is the engine sound *drools*

yeh, 10 does do those races...but like said, thats very few, considering the amount of races they have...they dont even show normal races live, everything is delayed
