Are the FINAL ranks the mean of the assessment ranks OR i heard otherwise, there's a formula to calculate the final rank, that being because each assessment have different weightings?

Your final assessment rank is calculated according to how you did in each assessment and its weighting. You could come 5th/50 in all your assessments
but the people who beat you in each one screwed up in all of the others, so you could be 1st at the end of it, despite the average suggesting you'd be 5th. Your teachers/school calculate it independently, some schools slightly differently to others (in that they account for decimal places etc)

When the year started you should have been given a schedule for each course with the details of the tasks and the weightings.

The school will then convert the raw mark to a mark related to the weighting e.g. a mark of 9/10 on a task worth 40% of the assessment mark will mean that you ended up with 36/40 for that task in the final assessment calculations. If you look at your marks and convert them to a mark out of the weightings and add them you should get a mark /100 that would be very close to the mark that the school will send to the BOS. Some schools insist on adjusting the marks by stretching them to a standard deviation or adding something to all students or something like that.
