there's also futurama and family guy which blows simpsons out of the water.

I actually like anime, I love the style.. although I couldnt call myself a "fan" because I dont have a particular favourite series or own any, but I really do appreciate the artwork. Spirted Away was an awesome movie.

Do you have any you reccommend me to watch? I am really interested in it.

yeh i should dl spirited away

watch slam dunk...you dont have to like basketball to love it
havent seen a lot of anime but i liked full metal panic ( people sit in robots to fight) and neon genesis

others i've watched are
love hina: thats okay...lots of hilarious slapstick scenes but the main charcters a bit of a hentai
angelic layer: kinda weird...people using dolls to fight in this arena

stuff i've heard about and sounded pretty cool:
saiyuki: loosely based on Monkey king
ah my godness

Rurouni Kenshin / Samurai X is definitely a great series, and IMHO the RK OVA's are the epitome of anime

Trigun is another

Hellsing is another

Airmaster is a good new one

Ninja Scroll TV

Ghost in the Shell : Stand Alone Complex

Macross Zero

Gundam Seed

Love Hina is quite i good i really enjoyed it

Ah! My Goddess is one of the best non action/violent anime's ive ever seen

Initial D for car loves ^^

Samurai Deeper Kyo, although im told the manga is better

Gunsmith Cats

Berserk, if you can get past the ending

Neon Genesis Evangelion

Gunparade March

Gasaraki is a really good 'realistic' anime style in that it portrays very nicely politics in action

Robotech/Macross original sagas

Shamanic Princess for something that will definitely make you think twice about calling CLAMP nothing but shallow kawaii girl stuff

Cyber City OEDO

Guyver

Tenchi Muyo

Flame of Recca

Vision of Escaflowne

Fushugi Yuugi

thats all i can think of for now ^^

How come all of a sudden the craze of Initial D has come up in all the western countries especially American, i find whenever i go an American gaming/movie site, there seems to be always an article on Initial D

Does anyone know why?

I recommend:
1) naruto
2) prince of tennis
3) hikaru no go
4) Full metal alchemist (kinda gets a little freaky later)
5) Full metal panic fumoffu

I've seen most of those anime asylum and hate nearly all of em :) (cept for a few-anything with mecha and space and all that weird stuff bores me to death)
